Used & Wants

Sorry for the lack of activity. Life gets in the way. Lack of Omelia scenes = lack of inspiration. All that great stuff. But I hope you enjoy this short fic based off of last nights ending scene.

Owen has never been good at staying just friends with his ex’s. It isn’t that he doesn’t try, but rather that he cares too much about them. No matter what happens, he loved them, he can’t just let that go. So, if they need him for emotional support, a shoulder to cry on, someone to go shopping with, or even for sex… he was there for them. Because that is the kind of guy he is.

Even though Owen knew sex complicated and blurred the friend line immensely, he couldn’t turn Amelia down. And to be fair lately he had basically become her boyfriend without the benefits. Her and Owen were close, they were friends, so she often would hang out with him, eat lunch with him or do other little casual things.

The treating him like her boyfriend started slowly, at lunch she would steal fries off his plate. If they were hanging out she would hint at being hungry, resulting in Owen going to get them food. She had even somehow convinced him to go see Fifty Shades Freed with her, after she kept saying how much she wanted to go see it but, Mer was busy with her Harper Avery stuff and Maggie was too busy getting her own private showing of Fifty Shades with Clive.

To someone who didn’t know them, they would have thought they were dating, they did couple-y things together. And enjoyed each others company. And if their boyfriend without benefits situation wasn’t complicated enough… it had recently gotten a whole lot more complicated.

“Amelia… I want you to use me, in every way you can think of.” That’s what Owen had said to her, which in the moment may have seemed to be all about sex, but now as Amelia was lying alone in her bed, mind racing, she couldn’t help but think if he meant more by that. Or if it was simply just about sex.

Amelia picked up her phone for what seemed like the hundredth time, sometimes she would pick it up and set it right back down. Other times she would type out a message to him, but then delete it without sending it. One time she even considered calling him but, seeing as it was 2am that seemed like a poor decision.

For the past while all she could think about was sex, then she had ‘used’ Owen. And while it was SOOO GOOD, now her mind couldn’t focus on anything other then what he meant by ‘I want you to use me, in every way you can think of.’ She knew she had said she just missed the act, not the romantic notion but the truth was with Owen it was never just sex. There was too much between them for it to be.

Sexual Bender

After tonight’s episode and the promo for net week, I couldn’t not write this the second it came to mind. Can’t wait to hear and read everyone else’s opininos and predictions and version of how this will go. But to start things off here is mine. Hope you enjoy!

“I was up all night!” I can’t help but brag arrogantly to Alex while reaching into my bowl for a few more kernels of pop-corn.

Alex raises a suspicious and unconvinced eyebrow, “Doing what?” he questions just as Owen walks into the room mumbling,

“Oh hey!”

“Doing that!” i answer smugly, wiggling my eyebrows at Alex while popping a few more pieces of pop-corn into my mouth. I am desperate need of refuelling, especially if our sexual bender is going to carry on the way it is.

“Are you all incapable of acting like adults?” Meredith groans walking into the room and taking a seat next to Alex on the floor, “Maggie is spreading butter on the tea towel and putting her shirt on inside out. What is wrong with you all?”

“Oh and frantically reading your mother’s sex filled journals is normal?” I tease as my eyes follow Owen’s every movement. Admiring how especially good his ass looks in those sweatpants.

“I have my reputation and million dollar idea on line, I think mine is more serious.” Meredith sighs, letting her body flop back until she is lying on the floor. All of a sudden Owen reappears out of nowhere, walks straight up to me - the most determined of looks on his face - and throws me over his shoulder. Pop-corn flies everywhere.

“Hey! You had better come and clean this up!” Alex yells while dusting fragments of pop-corn off himself and onto the floor, making an even bigger mess. But I don’t care, Owen disappears round the corner and heads straight upstairs - while I’m still thrown over his shoulder.

“Oh… hi!” We bump into Maggie in the hallway, well my ass dos the bumping as unfortunately my current position involves me being hidden behind Owen’s back. Great view of his ass though. “So this is a thing again… now?” she points as us raising a suspicious eyebrow.

I poke my head out from behind Owen unable to hide my smirk, “I prefer the term Sexual Bender.” Owen laughs while Maggie rolls her eyes and disappears into her room. Owen pushes the door to my room open, throws me onto the bed and turns around to lock the door.

His smirk never fades as he crawls up the bed till his eyes and lips are level with mine, “You’re wearing too many clothes for this to be a sexual bended.” He says while leaning back to eyes me up and down.

“Have your way with me then soldier.”

Glad You Got The Flu

Prompt: Amelia is living at Meredith’s at the moment. Meredith’s children are sick and she helps her taking care of them. But as she’s showing the first symptoms herself, Meredith sends her to bed. Maggie is at the hospital and because she’s still busy with her children, Meredith calls Owen to take care of Amelia.
I received this prompt a little while ago, but I have been busy and had not had the time to do it justice, still not sure if I did.

It’s that magical time of year again, and by magical, I mean the absolute worst time of year ever. Especially if you work in a hospital, flu season. I’d seen the posters all over the hospital, reminding everyone to get their annual flu shots. But as I have never been one that gets sick very often, I opted to skip mine. Sure, I’ve faked sick, when my friends were suspious if I was using again, but I hardly ever get sick. But, children do, that’s for sure; and Mer’s kids were no exception.

Currently I am living at Meredith’s but this time it is only temporary. In face I’ve already begun searching for a place of my own. For most of my adult life I’ve never had my own place, I’ve lived with family’s like Addi, or Derek, or Owen. But with everything that has happened over the past year or two, ending with Owen and I splitting up, I think it is finally time that I act like a grown up and get a grown-up place. I could buy a house, I mean I have the money, but that makes Owen and I’s situation seem more real, more serious, more permanent. And I want to have the option of moving back in with him when that time comes.

The only thing that is delaying me moving out of this house right now, is the kids. They love me, and I love them, even now when all 3 of them are down with the flu. I don’t know why Mer didn’t get them to take the flu shot, but I guess that doesn’t matter now, because the flu has hit the house full force.

Maggie is at work today, Mer is on call, although she is hoping not to get called in, so she can take care of the kids, and lucky me has the day off. “Zola, take your medicine. It will make you feel better, I promise.” I attempt to convince the eldest, however, she stubbornly clamps her mouth shut, and shakes her head at me. I sigh feeling slightly defeated, this was day 3 of the flu for Zola and while she was no longer vomiting up everything she attempted digesting, she did however, still have a slight fever and a bad stomach ache.

“Mer…” I sigh as she joins us in the kitchen with little Ellis in her arms. She looks between me and Zola and figures out the situation. She hands me Ellis, as she focuses on convincing her oldest daughter to take her medicine. Before long we hear a frail voice call from upstairs, “Mommy!” the voice belongs to Bailey. Mer shoots me a look, silently asking if I wanted to stay here and try and get Zola to take her medicine and make sure Ellis ate something or if I wanted to go check on Bailey.

My Boys Drabbles - Thomas (Part One)

Hi Guys!

After such a long hiatus, My Boys is back! And this time around, we are going to explore the only pregnancy I haven’t fully written about. Thank you @jia911 for proofreading this so fast!

  • The Prompt:

@cizavilation I think was the one who asked me to write about Thomas’s pregnancy.

  • Timeline:

This one sets just one or two days after The Return (the story when Cristina is back in Seattle).

My Boys Drabbles – Thomas (Part One)

Amelia let out a sigh of frustration, watching as a strand of hair was blown from her nose.

She was bored.

It was no secret she considered that mandatory hospital meeting a complete waste of time and judging by the yawns and amount of empty coffee cups around the big round table, her colleagues felt the exact same way.

One by one, Amelia examined the facial expressions of the other heads of department. Alex Karev seemed too entertained playing with a loose thread of his white coat sleeve. Meredith Grey repeatedly twisted the lid of her Starbucks drink, looking like she wanted to be anywhere but there. Jackson Avery was having a hard time keeping his neck straight and not falling asleep. Only Maggie seemed to be paying attention to the words of the seventy-something infectious diseases specialist who gave that exact same lecture on infection control and prevention every trimester at the hospital.

Amelia knew that every hospital had an ICC, or Infection Control Committee, a division that worked both preventing and helping treat hospital related infections. Every three months, the ICC of Greys Sloan mandated that all hospital workers attended lectures on continued education programs. But the heads of each department had to sit through an exhaustive meeting where data was shown and discussed.

anon prompts: (1) meredith, amelia, and maggie are on their way to work and amelia tells them to pull over because she feels sick. amelia and them think she’s pregnant. (2) amelia thinks she’s pregnant but doesn’t know if the baby daddy is owen or tom.

“Amelia, we’re going to be late again! Meet us in the car,” Meredith yelled from downstairs. The words rang in Amelia’s head as she splashed water in her face and let out a deep breath.

“You’re fine,” Amelia whispered to herself, “You’re fine.” She took another deep breath as she brushed her clothes down on her sides and slowly walked out of the bathroom, to the car.

“What took you so long?” Meredith asked, turning around in her seat. Amelia was sat in the backseat, her face pallid and her hair sticking to her skin. “Hey, you okay?”

“I’m fine. Let’s go,” Amelia said, putting on her seatbelt. With that, Meredith started the car and headed towards work, keeping an eye on Amelia through the rearview mirror.

“Are you sick?” Maggie asked, noticing Amelia’s pallid color herself. Amelia cleared her throat as she felt the bile begin to rise. “Meredith, pull over,” Amelia coughed. Maggie’s question was answered as soon as Meredith’s car stopped on the side of the road and Amelia jumped out.

Maggie and Meredith exchanged worried looks.

Moments later, Amelia got back inside the car and rested her head against the window, closing her eyes. “Here,” Meredith said, handing Amelia a bottle of water. Amelia gratefully took it, and, instead of drinking it, she pressed the cold bottle against her forehead. “Are you pregnant?” Maggie abruptly blurted out. Meredith rolled her eyes then focused back on Amelia, silently wanting to know the answer.

“What? No. No, I’m just sick,” Amelia said, closing her eyes again. “You’re never sick,” Maggie pointed out. Amelia’s eyes darted open as she looked at her sisters who were staring back at her. She instantly thought of Koracik.

“Good morning,” Bailey said, suspiciously. She watched as Meredith and Maggie quickly walked inside, followed by a ill-looking Amelia. “Hey! Slow down! You’re gonna run someone over,” Bailey called out.

The three ignored Bailey’s protests and continued heading towards the bathroom, only making one small stop to grab a pregnancy test from the supply closet.

“I slept with Koracik,” Amelia said quietly. “What?” Maggie asked. “I slept with Koracik,” Amelia repeated.

Meredith and Maggie instantly stopped walking and turned around. “You slept with Koracik?” Meredith asked, a little louder than she intended. Amelia nodded, feeling her stomach turn again. It has to be his, she thought.

“Just go pee and tell us when you’re done,” Meredith said, pushing Amelia into the bathroom. Maggie and Meredith stood in silence as they waited.

The bathroom door opened minutes later, followed by Amelia. Her face looked more pale than it did earlier.

“Is it positive?” Maggie asked, her face growing with concern. “It’s negative,” Amelia said. Maggie and Meredith exhaled in unison.

“Are you okay?” Meredith asked as she watched Amelia lean against the wall. “Yes. I’m just relieved,” Amelia smiled. “Go sleep in the on call room then. You’re sick,” Meredith laughed.

ahh i hate everything about this

Dr. Grey has experienced more loss in her life than I think most of us would deem fair. She lost her little sister, Dr. Lexie Grey, who I know would’ve loved to be here tonight with us. She lost her husband, Dr. Derek Shepherd, who knew with total certainty that this night would happen. And she also lost her mother, Dr. Ellis Grey, who won this award twice, once as a resident, and probably would have won a few more if she hadn’t been taken from all of us so young.  The most amazing thing about Meredith, though, is that she takes all that pain, all that loss, and she turns it into drive - drive to save lives, to make things better. And despite all that she’s lost, she continues to find joy in her work, as a surgeon, as a teacher, as a mother.

Taking it slow...

Okay so here is the prompt fic I promised! For this prompt on @omeliafics and this anon prompt:

It is very long, so sorry to anyone who doesn’t like that, it just kept going and going!
Sorry for any errors, I’ll be checking it again tomorrow x
Masterpost
Please let me know what you think xxx

Her clothes felt foreign to her as she pulled them on, quietly eyeing Owen’s sleeping form in their bed… his bed, she corrected herself. She slipped on her boots and walked to his side, sitting down carefully beside him. She traced her index finger along the creases of his smile lines and he stirred. She felt a pain gripping her in that moment, a pang in her chest, love, she knew it was love.

He opened his eyes and his features turned with happiness at the sight of her, twisting into worry when he saw she was dressed, when he saw the emotion in her eyes. “Amelia are you going? I…”

“I have work” She said simply, resting her hand over the curve of his shoulder.

“Will you come back here after?” he asked her, with child like hope. Amelia recoiled slightly, eyes fleeing from his. “I…” she stuttered as she tried to reign in her thoughts.

“I love you Amelia…” he said, quickly taking her hand in his and holding it firmly. Amelia nodded, she knew, the love was implied between them now.

About Last Night

So I wrote this earlier and I didn’t even mean to xD I thought about it for two seconds, and then suddenly the words were everywhere and then I was writing them down and then this fic existed xD

“I slept with Koracik.” Amelia pushed open the door into Owen’s house and started talking as soon as she had crossed the threshold.

“And you forgot how to knock?” Owen said, knowing that she still had a key, but it was his house. He wasn’t mad though. He was happy to see her.

“I slept with Koracik.” She said again, as if she hadn’t actually said it the first time.

“I heard you the first time.” Owen said, just in case Amelia hadn’t realised he actually had heard her, even though she was only over the other side of the room, practically no distance away at all.

“Why did I do that?” Amelia said, now walking around in a circle with one hand on her head. “What was I thinking?” She continued, as if Owen wasn’t even there. “Sorry, this is weird. Is this weird?” She said, noticing how Owen had a ‘deer in headlights’ expression on his face, and how that might be a sign that she should stop talking.

“Maybe you should have knocked.” Owen suggested, his shock slightly fading as a smile began to creep onto his face.

“Right, right.” Amelia said, agreeing.

She still had a key, because she still had stuff at the house and therefore could let herself in whenever she had time to grab a box or two and take it over to Meredith’s. This though, wasn’t one of these times.

“And maybe you should take a deep breath.” Owen said, a smile now fully showing as she spoke.

Of course, he couldn’t believe that 1. Amelia had slept with Thomas Koracik, who may or may not be the biggest ass Owen had ever met and 2. That she was now standing in his house and telling him about it, but this was what he had signed up for when he had agreed to be friends. If Amelia was okay with it, he wanted to be as well.

“He is such an ass.” Amelia said, stopping where she was standing and taking a breath. “He is such an ass.”

“Hasn’t he left town? Are you guys going to…?” ‘date’ was what he was going to say, but he figured that was implied, and therefore he didn’t actually have to say that.

“God no! No. No.” Amelia said. Apparently, even tumor-less she was still prone to lapses in judgement, as she had now figured out. At the time, it had seemed like the right thing. At the time, it had seemed so right. Afterwards, not so much.

“One night stand.” Owen said, figuring this actually made more sense than them deciding to date.

“It was just sex. Just sex.” Amelia said.

This time, it wasn’t going to happen again. It was absolutely not going to happen again. It should never have happened in the first place.

“Okay.” Owen said, still finding it a little difficult to adjust to talking about other people with the person who used to be his wife.

Elevators and surgeons

Inspired by @toevenexist drabble based on the promo photos of omelia for 14x07 - here’s my spin on why they are looking at each other like that. Enjoy!

Owen was leaning against the back wall of the elevator while Amelia stood a few feet in front of him. He couldn’t take his eyes off her, wanting nothing more than to stop the elevator and continue their original plan of having lots of sex in bed - that was before they were both called in for an emergency.

“Stop it!” Amelia chuckled lowering her head a little. It was obvious to Owen she was blushing even if he couldn’t see her face.

“Stop what?” he feigned ignorance as though he had been scrolling through his phone the entire time.

“Looking at me as though you were doing very dirty things to me an hour ago” Amelia smirked, still refusing to turn around and look at him. Grinning Owen took a few steps closer to her, until she could feel his breath tickle the back of her neck

“But Mia, I was doing dirty things to you an hour ago. Very dirty things.” he whispered, his hot breath lighting a fire within Amelia. He brushed his lips against her neck while he pulled her ass against his crotch, his fingers holding on tightly to her hips.

“Owen!” she broke free, panting “the elevator doors are going to open any second and there are people here, people could see us…”

“That’s never stopped you before” he backed her up against a wall of the elevator. He pressed his lips to hers and chuckled upon feeling here give in. Suddenly the elevator came to a halt and the doors slid open,

“Nice to see you two treating married life like its a bed and breakfast in Vermont again” Maggie commented unable to contain her laughter. She wasn’t alone though, Webber was with her

“Are elevator’s an aphrodisiac to all surgeons in this damn hospital” he rolled his eyes.

“Ugh… Hi Maggie, Richard” “Morning Pierce, Richard” the pair mumbled, running their hands over their scrubs trying to make themselves look presentable. The elevator doors opened again, this time to the ER. The couple said goodbye to Maggie and hurried out,

“That was close” Amelia whispered, her smile never fading.

“Nah, just left you wanting more” Owen laughed as he overtook her smacking her ass playfully.

I know...

“I’m going to go and stay at Meredith’s tonight.” Amelia spoke softly as she pulled herself away from Owen’s arms.

“You don’t have to. Your stuff is here.” Owen smiled weakly, sadness and sorrow radiating from his eyes.

“I know… But it’s for the best.” She sighed looking down at the ring in her hand that once belonged on his finger.

Amelia gathered as many of her things as she could in as little time as possible. She was worried the longer she spent there the sooner she would break and she couldn’t face being comforted by Owen, not now at least. She loaded up the trunk of her car and took a few extra seconds to look at the house, their house, the house Owen bought because she gave him a hard time about the trailer. Pulling the sleeves of her sweatshirt down over hands she wiped a few stray tears away.

When she walked back inside Owen was sitting in the same seat she had been an hour or so before, playing with the ring that he had once given her while saying ‘I do’.

“I’m going to go now.” She couldn’t bare to look at him as he turned to face her, but she lifted up her key before placing it on the coffee table just so he would know she left it there.

“Amelia…” Owen began but realised he didn’t have the words, he just wanted another few seconds with her. The distance between them felt unsurmountable and the silence was deafening.

“Ok. Well. Bye.” Amelia barely whispered turning towards the door.

“Amelia I do… I still…” Owen’s eyes met hers immediately and she understood what he was trying to say. Smiling she tilted her head to the side slightly, a habit she never realised had rubbed off on her.

“I know… Me too…”
