Unpacking the latest TAW drama

On December 22nd, a twitter account called _taralarson started posting hate on Misha Collins. Basically, this user accused Misha of sexual harassment of minors and women in photo ops at cons. “Tara” began to tweet samples of these pictures without permission to celebrities and tabloid life ruiners like TMZ.

Most recently, on Christmas night, she posted a collage of pics with a tweet Misha made to Donald Trump, and tagged Trump as well as Creation, the people who head up conventions.

However, “Tara Larson” isn’t a real person. In reality, this is a sock account for Travis Aaron Wade’s assistant, Vicki.

Vicki admitted that she didn’t know of anyone Misha had ever hurt. Her only goal is to damage his reputation and career. As TAW’s personal assistant, we can make a reasonable assumption that he’s aware of this behavior. We have further evidence of this from a tweet TAW made a few days prior to this media assault, which he has since deleted:

This is ridiculous. It is libel, it is potentially damaging to Misha’s career, and anyone involved should be ashamed of themselves.

Before more people get ahold of this and spread it like wildfire, i just want to remind everyone to STAY CALM during this. From what I can tell, TAW is your typical human that believes they can do no wrong and that everyone else is wrong. Instead of accepting he did wrong, he throws a temper tantrum. People like him THRIVE on disorder and chaos. I grew up and am related to a few people just like him. The best thing you can do is not allow yourself to be dragged into his net. Do not tweet him. Do not reblog him. Do not interact with him or people he is involved with (like Vicky). Giving him a voice gives him more power.

If you want to support Misha in something as intense and complicated as this, STAY CALM. DO NOT TRY AND FIGHT THIS FOR HIM OR ANY OF THE GUYS ON SOCIAL MEDIA. Yes stay informed and spread information, but DO NOT fight anyone. It would do more harm than good.

From what i can tell, their biggest argument is that Misha fans are rabid and crazy. Obviously this isn’t true. PROVE that we are the best fans. Misha is very outspoken about supporting women and being against sexual assault. If anything we should start opening up a platform for ANY woman in the SPN fandom to feel safe to speak up if they were sexually assaulted.

I know our first instincts are to smother anything anti misha because of the shit he and his fans have gone through, but we need to be bigger than them. Take influence from Misha and the fact that shit has been flying his way for YEARS and he’s always kept a level head on social media and his own platforms. No matter what bullshit flys his way, he always stands strong (at least in front of us) and keeps moving forward. We need to do this too. We need to not be his soldiers, but his followers.

DO NOT FEED THE DRAMA FIRE. KEEP YOUR HEADS HIGH AND DO WHAT MISHA WOULD DO.

I have faith in Misha and those that will be involved in confronting this. He will get through this and so will we. Stand together and move forward. Kill them with kindness.
