So Hannibal is full of great stuff from the practical effects to the excellent actors to the utter madness of all of it, etc. But the best part (for me anyway) is the fact that Hannibal "I torturously murder and eat people who dared be rude to me while rocking three piece plaid suits more expensive than your car" Lecter not only falls in love for the first time in his entire life with a scruffy, twitchy feral twink who lives in the middle of nowhere with seven dogs he basically stole, but that he falls so hard in love from basically the word go that this cannibal serial killer becomes a goddamned hopeless romantic for a man who dead ass just tells him to his face that he's boring in their first real conversation.
