i think the reason i like most sastiel shippers is because we don't expect our ship to become canon
(would that be fuckin amazing? yes, but it's very unlikely and would probably be done in a really awful way. i don't want it to be canon. i enjoy the little fandom community we have here)
destihellers expect their ship to become canon because they're so deluded they think they 'deserve' it to be
now, of course there's a lot of destiel fans who don't think it should be or already is canon, and that's great. keep having fun in your space and enjoy your ship, you're amazing and i love you
the point of shipping is not to force it to be canon, it's to enjoy two or more characters being together

no but how much audacity and sheer entitlement do you have to have to tell people they need to stop posting their darkfic and porn fic and any other fic you don’t like to ao3 so you can have a safe space when ao3 was literally created as a safe space for writers to post their content without fear of it being randomly wiped out by pro-censorship assholes with an agenda like what has happened to plenty of other fic archives before?
“but a lot of us see ao3 as a safe space to get away from that kind of nasty content” - lol you can see the middle of a busy interstate as a safe space all you want too but that doesn’t mean that you get to walk into the road and scream at all the cars going by that they’re the ones infringing on your safe space either
ao3 is not, has never been, and will never be a site meant for nothing but children’s stories. you can “see it” like that as much as you want but there’s a difference between fiction and reality and that view of what ao3 is like is as fictional as the stories posted on it.
tags and ratings are here for a reason, kids. read them.
@tuntematonkorppi has a point. Tags are there for a fucking reason. Don’t ignore the tags and go into a fic, read it then cry because you’re triggered. Its not up to us to censor ourselves. Its up to YOU to read responsibly.
If anyone needs me, I’ll be crying over how much I love Cas this season. (I love him every season, so that’s misleading, but you get what I mean.)

The plan for the 17th, when the adult content ban comes in, is to protest.
To do that, we are making as much noise either side of the 17th as possible, and using the site as normal.
On the 17th, dead silence.
People are saying log off but what they really mean is don’t open the site or the app.
But, on the 17th make as much noise as possible on every other platform. Tweet about it and post on facebook and instagram and everywhere else.
What this does is causes a massive dip in ad revenue for one single day. That does not make staff think ‘oh everyone’s gone let’s shut down.’ What it actually makes them think is ‘oh shit people aren’t happy and if people don’t keep using our site we’re out of money and out of jobs.’
A boycott reminds a company that the users (consumers) have the power to make their site (business) worthless with one single coordinated decision.
If you want to join in, here’s what to do:
Remember: the execs don’t care about anything but money. Shutting down the site means there’s $0 further income from it. That’s their last possible course of action. If we make it clear we’re not happy, they’ll have to do something or we can do more and more until it becomes too expensive.
Protests take commitment. They’re a defiant action against a business that is doing something wrong. They will try to scare you into not participating, because they’re scared. We hold all the power here, sometimes the execs just need to be reminded of that.

This is in response to my post on Misha forcing Jensen to lace their fingers together.
Did Jared do it on purpose? Did he intentionally try to crack your ribs? If you told him not to hug you, do you think he would have listened? Did he hug you hard out of malice? Jensen told Misha to stop. He was trying to pull his hand away. There is a difference between what Jared did [which is being too nice] and what Misha did [which is creepy because he doesn’t understand what “stop” means]. Oh, but Misha was joking right? He is always joking.
Since when does being in a fandom mean, you ignore death threats? What kind of a human being says something like that? I wonder how nonchalant you would be if the death threats were directed at Misha. How broken is your moral compass? My posts are annoying you because they are hitting a nerve. Especially because Jensen doesn’t look amused. He looks creeped out and you know it. I have received too many excuses for this picture. I guess because Jensen’s whole body language, in the picture, is difficult to explain away. I hope you can live with your logic. Have a nice life.
I want to point out that Jensen likely looks uncomfortable because every time Jensen and Misha so much as looks at each other Destihellers scream about Destiel
DESTIEL MAKES JENSEN UNCOMFORTABLE.

And while I adore Misha, He doesn’t seem to get the idea that stuff like this probably makes Jensen uncomfortable BECAUSE of Destiel and Fan girls taking it way too far.

Sastiel is honestly so galaxy brain, like everyone’s so focused on Dean and Cas, and sure, but Sam and Cas. That’s where it’s at babes!
My entry for @rosemoonweaver ‘s Fic-O-Ween Celebration challenge!
The prompt I chose was: 10) There are always risks involved when calling on magical beings. Character A knows the risks, but this is important. They’ve run out of options and there’s no going back. Too bad they didn’t notice the typo in their incantation and they’ve summoned a much more powerful being than they thought and they aren’t interested in playing around.
