Once again thinking about how Eddie and Robin are actually Steve and Nancys perfect partners. Because it’s just a fact that Steve and Nancy while having a good dynamic are so incompatible especially when it comes to the future post living through an apocalypse.

Like no shame to my boy Steve I don’t hate his six little nugget dream, but it sounds like hell for someone like Nancy, who’s whole dream is to get out of the suburbs. Like so much of her character has been defying the expectations set on her, she’s Nancy fucking wheeler. Nancy I keep guns in my closet Wheeler. And she wants to be a journalist and season three shows us very clearly that she doesn’t want to just do fluff pieces. She wants to explore and do the hard hitting stuff. It’s the kinda career that clearly puts off raising kids, especially a whole bunch of them and it’s so well suited to her, and if we look at Robin it fits her too. Because like if you’ve read Rebel Robin, her whole dream is to get outta Hawkins. Robin wants to explore, she’s a thrill seeker and she’s also an investigator and incredibly smart just like Nancy. If we look at the season 3 Jancy dynamic and compare it to ronance in 4 it’s so clear that where Johnathan and Nancy chafe Nancy and Robin gel, Robin goes for her hunches, she’s impulsive and charismatic and isn’t nervous about breaking into an asylum or Russian bases. They’re personality’s even each other out and the fact they are both so intelligent and witty is wonderful because they can both challenge each other and grow. These are the kind of lesbians that travel everywhere, have a million stories and love each other so so much and you can’t tell me otherwise.

Meanwhile with Steve and his six little nuggets and a Winnebago, not a dream for Nancy Wheeler. But for the guy who grew up in a trailer and who’s main “conflict” with Steve came from the fact they both adopt the same kid, are you kidding me. That’s like ideal. Not to mention the fact both Steve and Eddie have hinted at daddy issues. They both joined this fight over girls dying in their homes. They both wanted to run then turned around to fight anyway to protect people. A nail bat and a nail shield. I could go on. Like even the jock and the the nerd trope is there. But I think when it comes to the future like sure I don’t think Eddie wants to stay in Hawkins after everything but he’s a down to earth guy. I feel like he’d be just as happy working a dead end job as he would being a rockstar as long as he had company and his hobbies and Steve has the same kind of personality. They both are the kinda guys happy to have support and be the support and I can’t stress how compatible that is. Like they have small town charm and you can’t tell me they aren’t the kind of guys to just adopt kids and do roadtrips like?!!?!

Anyway it’s so batshit the writers are trying to do love triangle angst while writing the perfect pairings (Jarygle I’m also looking at you) and ignoring them because they are queer. I’m so glad I have you guys to go insane about this with.
