They are already selling data to midjourney, and it's very likely your work is already being used to train their models because you have to OPT OUT of this, not opt in. Very scummy of them to roll this out unannounced.
here's some instructions for anyone who doesn't know how to opt out:
- login in on desktop, it's not available on mobile yet
- click "Account"
- click on your blog
- go to "Blog Settings"
- go to "Visibility"
- Scroll down to the bottom option
- turn the toggle ON, not off
you will have to do this individually for each sideblog you have too, no way to do it for each account in one go
If you've updated your app, this is now available on mobile:
1. Tap on your blog, the little person the bottom right corner.
2. Tap settings, the gear in the top right corner
3. Scroll down just a bit to find "visibility"
4. Turn the "prevent third party sharing" toggle ON
Make sure to do this for EVERY sideblog you have, not just your main. Simply follow the above directions for each blog.

Bisan is calling for another global strike!
I saw some posts just outlining Jan 21st, and wanted to clarify that Bisan has called for a full seven days of action.
What a global strike would look like is:
- calling in sick to work
- purchasing bare essentials ahead of the week so you can observe the general boycott of goods / buying as little as you genuinely can
- putting in a concerted effort to elevate Palestinian voices and make it clear that this strike is in support of a permanent ceasefire!
For those who will have to purchase necessary goods during this time, please observe the brands that the BDS movement is asking us to boycott!
