- First off- you’re Jungkook’s girlfriend first- everything that happens with this others is kind of…unintended. Wanted, gladly had, amazing, but in the end unintended.
- Jungkook’s quick to make you a fixture around the dorm when he gets back from the world tour. The others don’t mind like they might have before, they’re all adults, and one member having a girlfriend doesn’t feel like an affront to the group dynamic. those few times that any of them had any attachment to warrant bringing someone home didn’t go over well. Now they know how lucky it is that Jungkook was able to find anyone at all.
- It’s been a while for all of them the last year has been so busy. Jungkook describes it as a literal miracle that you had a chance to long-distance date at all. for almost a full year, you’d timed your morning coffee with his evening hot chocolate, calling it “long distance coffee dates.”
- The end of that is welcome. nothing compares to having Jungkook here, nothing is better than this- seeing the love of your life every day, being able to do something as simple as hold his hand has been a treasure for you two.
- After the hectic schedule of world-tour after world-tour things have finally calmed down. You’re both living in the same city again, and now Jungkook gets to see you every day when usually he’d been seeing you through the gritty screen of face time.
- The others are happy for him, they really are, but they’d be lying if it didn’t make them a little…Jealous.
- Like when you hop up to help Seokjin cooking making jokes and puns like Korean is your first language, bumping him with your hip. Or when you join in on Hoseok’s antics, eventually leading to your boyfriend jumping in too. Like when you’d brought them all coffee right before practice and managed to remember all of their orders, even Jimin’s long ass caramel-soy-late-with-whip-and-please-the-shot-not-the swirl.
- and fiddled with Taehyung’s jacket and zipped it up when he’d already put his gloves on, and taken care of Namjoon’s plants without even asking, even adding on of yours to his collection on the windowsill in the kitchen, laughing and giving his names because “of course plants have to have names Namu.”
- It’s the little things that often lead people to fall headfirst into love. and Jungkooks already fallen, hard. And the boys? they might not have fallen yet, but they can feel the pull of gravity.
- It’s been over a year with you, a long blissful year of everything he ever could have wanted. This is the longest relationship Jungkook’s ever been in. He loves how you’ve inhabited every inch of his life. He’s needy for your constant comfort and affection.
- And you need him too, often in the same way he needs you. He’s always needed someone to depend on him to really feel steady. You show Jungkook that you need him often enough that he doesn’t have to wonder.
- After nearly a full year apart from your boyfriend, it’s a wonder you’re not more touch-starved. How many nights had he confessed to you over the phone how he wished that he could fall asleep in your arms? how many times had you wished you could just hold his hand through the phone?
- For the first month, you can’t stop touching each other. Even around the others you’re always holding hands and sitting in his lap. At first, you seemed to be a little hesitant, but Jungkook had insisted that you could act like you do when you’re in private around the others.
- But they do…watch you sometimes. You’d tried to bring it up to Jungkook more than once. But he always shrugs it off. “they’re not starting because they don’t like you. They’re just a little jealous.”
- Oh… that’s something you didn’t expect. You thought they hated you, not that they were jealous.
- They’re not just jealous of you, or your relationship, if they had to put a name to who they were jealous of… it had to be Jungkook himself.
