Do yall also have these mutuals that you just??? Grew really fond of?? Like, you never properly talk to them and all you do is like each other’s posts but whenever you see them on your dash you’re like “hello sunshine, I hope you’re drinking lots of water and being happy your health and wellbeing is so important to me” and I hope that’s not weird because honestly that’s me all the time

5 healthy morning habits: minimalism journey

  1. stretch it out: engage your muscles and joints in a subtle way and stretch (either in bed, standing up, or on the floor) // focus on your back and arms // try holding the stretching position and focus on your breathing // alternative: meditate or do simple yoga 
  2. lay off the phone: refrain from checking social media, email, etc. until you’re fully awake/ready for the day // instead, create a brief to-do list for the day (include things to check, complete, meals to make) // doing so will allow you to be more productive/less distracted, and less anxious about starting your day // engage in your physical reality first, before your digitial world
  3. drink water: it’s best to leave a glass of water or a full water bottle by your bedside, that way when you wake up (via naturally or by alarm), you reach for your water first and try to finish close to 4-8 oz before taking a shower or brushing your teeth. – take your time to drink, don’t chug and try not to be in haste (you’ll resume your daily intake for the day) // also, it’s a perfect time to take moring daily vitamins (e.g. B12, vitamin D, vitamin C)
  4. turn on the tunes: got a favorite song or tune that suits your morning vibes, and/or makes you feel more at ease as you get ready? try playing some music in the background when you get ready and/or taking a shower // helps better your mood and mindset, but also makes you feel a bit more focused to get through your morning
  5. have faith in yourself: you are grateful for another day, so make it worth your while // ebb and flow with what the day has to offer and its energy // remind yourself you are growing, learning, and are capable of doing a lot more than you might give yourself credit for // set at least one small goal for yourself for the day (e.g. eat three healthy meals, watch a movie, do laundry, spend some time outside)

Ain’t nothing easy about realizing you’re the one that’s been holding you back this whole time..that your lack of discipline is the answer to some of those why not me questions you ask.
