what is okay: • to be uncomfortable with a ship • to hate a ship • to be disgusted by a ship • to have reasonings behind it • to explain your reasonings behind it
what is not okay: • to tell shippers to kill themselves • to tell shippers they’re disgusting • to intentionally harass shippers • to be a dick to someone because of something that makes them happy
If you were here beside me, instead of in New York If the curve of you was curved on me I’d tell you that I loved you, before I even knew you ‘Cause I loved the simple thought of you
If our hearts are never broken and there’s no joy in the mending There’s so much this hurt can teach us both, And there’s distance and there’s silence, your words have never left me, They’re the prayer that I say every day
Come on, come out, come here, come here

tfw you understand the language enough to know the subtitles are wrong but not enough to watch the movie without subs.
Thai Reading Practice
I haven’t seen many posts for Thai reading resources, so here are some websites I’ve found that actually have relevant and interesting topics :)
- Petmaya - super short articles with funny/interesting topics (it’s like the watered down love child of 9gag and buzzfeed LOL). You can filter articles based on topic (animals, weird/funky, humour, sad posts, etc)
- Sanook - longer articles on different topics (celebrity gossip, international news, sports, lifestyle, technology, etc)
- Kapook - similar to Sanook, but with an even broader range of topics. also if you scroll down there’s a section on food/restaurants :D
- Yaklai - articles on various topics (news, entertainment, men, women, teen, lifestyle, food, travel, etc)
- Dek-D - all the articles are centered around teenagers, so the vocabulary/themes should be somewhat relevant hahaha
- Wongnai - this is a restaurant review website, so it’s kind of an unconventional place to get reading practice from, but there are thousands upon thousands of reviews. especially if you enjoy food, this is such a good place to build up your vocabulary.
- Boxza - news and celebrity gossip
- Kapook Travel - general travel website for Thailand with tons of articles about accommodations, food, attractions
- Pantip - a Thai forum about literally any topic possible. kind of painful to navigate and it feels very 2005 but good reading practice nonetheless~
- MThai - articles on many different topics, similar to Yaklai
- Dogilike - OMG ITS JUST ALL ABOUT DOGS ITS SO CUTE I CANT HANDLE THIS
What resources do you use to study Thai?
oh woah this is weird because i literally got back into thai like 3 days ago and then i get this ask o: ITS A SIGN
anyways, here you go:
- my strategy on how to learn the thai script within a week or two: link
- Learn Thai in 200 Words: link (super important reference resource!)
- Thai dramas! I start with English subs and then match the words that I hear with the English words. It’ll start off slow but you’ll start catching words really quickly. Here’s a drama I started watching the other day: link. If you search for Thai lakorns you’ll find tons of good Thai dramas to watch too :)
- pretty good grammar reference: link
- reference link with reading practice: link
- AN AMAZIN MASTERPOST THAT WILL MAKE YOU CRY: link
- your two major baes when you start learning Thai: thai-language and thai2english
- Thai songs are a good place to pick up easy (and recurring) vocabulary. playlists/music masterpost: (1) (2) (3) (4)
- Fun Easy Languages for Thai is a nice way to study vocab on the go. I use it occasionally when I’m waiting or eating lunch haha. The audio is pretty decent too!
- Thai courses on Memrise: (link)
hope that was helpful! โชคดีนะ
