Honestly Meta Knight is shocked to receive any sort of gift, as he doesn’t get them often. What would really shock him though is if someone gave him something that was very personal, such as a book on something he’s secretly interested in, or if they gave him something from his past. His mother sold a lot of different goods that could have survived over the years, and his father discovered a lot of valuable jewels or objects… if someone gave one of said things to MK, and could prove it belonged to one of his parents, he would probably be speechless.

i make a ton of jokes about hating meta knight (especially anime meta knight), but honestly… he’s such a good character. he’s a show-off and tries to be way more mysterious than he actually is, but at the same time that’s a good thing. i love his habit of standing on things for no reason, and how under his mask he looks just like kirby. he’s a big dork that can be cool at times and I love him

The Students ((Closed RP with @stars-swords-and-mystery))
The former thieves could do nothing but grunt in frustration every time their stances and moves were criticized over and over again by their new master. Three weeks had passed since Meta Knight took their barbaric weapons away, replacing them with swords. Since then the pair have not gotten any closer to mastering the basics of sword fighting.
Blade Knight was making some progress, but his temper threw him off the rails any time he was challenged to do something more technical. His previous fighting style, as he dubbed it, was “swing-and-hit”, so any type of strategy was extremely hard to understand for a berserker like him.
On the other hand, Sword Knight would try his very hardest every time, yet he did not make any progress. This was upsetting to him especially because he had learned things so quickly in the past, so why couldn’t he do it now? Learning advanced mechanics as a child was a breeze. It made his blood boil that he couldn’t grasp something as simple as sword fighting basics.
After giving the parry maneuver another go, Sword messed up yet again. With a groan (and a voice crack), he stamped his foot in frustration, body shaking so much that the wooden training sword in his clenched hand visibly shook along with him. “This…” The teen huffed, “this is pointless! This is stupid!”
Blade Knight, who was leaning on a boulder and watching from the sidelines, crossed his arms and playfully laughed at his friend. “Man, you should probably calm dow-”
“Says you of all people!” Sword lashed back with no hesitation, feeling utterly done with everyone and everything. The young man didn’t even care that their master was watching this all go down.
The past three weeks felt as if a month had passed. As Meta Knight watched his new pupils now, he could see just how hard training was on all of them; himself included. Not only was Meta Knight not in his best shape, as he couldn’t deny grief still gripped his shoulders and pulled down every moment it got, but he’d never trained delinquents that had a barbaric habit of fighting. And clearly, there was more to the actions than Meta Knight could see. Their mindset was not in the right place, and they had already drifted from their original intentions due to frustration.
“Sword, Blade, front and center!”
They did, at least, listen well. Meta Knight hoped that some reminders as to why they were here would whip them back into shape.
“I want you both to tell me... what is it that motivates you to wake up at the crack of dawn every day and join me on these training sessions?” Meta Knight stepped over to stand in front of Sword. “Sword, you are first.”
