I LOVE MOOMINS

All the characters are so bizzare but lovely, and the story made me cry multiple times.

I wanted to do a study of Snufkin but then I also drew the Joxter. It's a new style I thought would fit with the absolutely sweet story of Moomins by Tove Jansson! I took inspiration from the 1990's Moomin show, and a bit from the new one called Moominvalley.

A continuation of an already started chapter - this was a fan-game called A Year in Moominvalley, created with @strecksoft. Due to personal reasons and different goals, this project had come to a stop. 

But despite that, as the artist of this pixel art, I’ve decided to continue with the ‘game’, through illustrations and short videos - please enjoy the blog! ^7^

As we are deep in development, and approaching 800 followers, we want to share with all of you this beautiful tune made for the game by our composer Joel Andersson with cover art by our talented lead artist @your-girl-tam  We cannot wait to share with all of you what we are working on, even if it will be a while before then. You guys are CRAZY! The last post was to celebrate 100 followers, and now we’re well past 200! Thank you all again so much! We’re still hard at work, mostly on technical things for now, so we don’t have a lot to show. Big things are coming soon, so stay tuned!

The gang is spending their time at the beach and they’ve got presents for you, it seems.

The inventory is finally finished, and I’m very happy to show it off to you all. I will be changing how it looks slightly, to allow for longer item names. The functionality is there at least!

@snufkinstan​ asked a very good question- I hope you don’t mind if I answer it here. I thought people would want me to address it on the blog.

As of right now, I want to release it for free, this is a passion project from fans to fans.

Something else I want to address is that if the moomin corporation decides to shut this project down I plan to continue working on it, but instead using original characters and making it more of an… inspired title.

Keep in mind, that does not mean that I will let go of any of the spirit of Moomin.

Finally, I doubt it will come as far as a licensing deal or a copyright claim, most likely and realistically it will be a free fan-game that the moomin corporation will have no issue with as long as it’s not making me fat stacks :P

Thanks to the amazing @your-girl-tam, I’ve been able to implement wonderful character portraits for dialogue! I’m VERY happy about this- more to come soon! :>
