Happy 42nd Birthday, Misha Collins! (August 20, 1974)

I suppose “giving without expecting anything in return” isn’t something new, but it always pushes your happy button when you do it or see it. As far as living a life of service, I’d say don’t pressure yourself. Don’t worry about what others think you should do or what the societal “norm” is. Do what moves you and makes you smile and the “good” will follow.

All these posts about autumn are making me think of Castiel in one of Dean’s hoodies sitting on a bench in the park trying his very first pumpkin spice latte while watching the leaves change colour.

He’s flanked by Dean and Sam, with Dean loudly proclaiming how stupid “girly” drinks like PSL are and how he likes his coffee black thank you very much, while Sam rolls his eyes knowing full well Dean has a secret stash of coffee syrups hidden away in the back of a shelf in the bunker’s kitchen.

When an excited Castiel pushes the cup under Dean’s nose (”this is really good Dean, you must try it”), Dean takes it with a theatrical sigh as if he is taking great pains to indulge Cas, and obligingly takes a sip.

He doesn’t quite manage to stop himself from answering Cas’s warm smile with one of his own, though.
