Hi, I came across your tumblr while doing a search on google. I know you get these questions but it’s truly worrying me about getting rid of this ouija board. My bf was gifted one from a an occult/witch shop a couple of years ago for decoration. We have never used it and I wouldn’t think it was ever used at the store but I have no way of knowing. I understand that it’s just a communication tool but I also do know spirits attach to things as well like someone who died attaches to their belongings, idk if that’s the same. ANYWAY, since he got it I always had this really weird feeling from it (i also am terrified of ouija boards or anything that can be demonic) and we put it away out of sight. It now lives in our new apartment in a closet in a bedroom we no longer sleep in for other reasons. However every single time I would go in there id get really high anxiety and this feeling that I need to get out of the room, and then it dawned on me that ouija board was being kept in there. I want to get rid of it, I want to be back in that room and feel safe in there. I see people say to just throw it out or donate it but it’s making me incredibly nervous. I just have this really bad feeling about it and was wondering if you could provide anything to ease my anxieties over this? Thank you so much if you respond!
As a person with extreme anxiety and has undergone a lot of treatment to keep it in check, I can tell you that literally anything can trigger anxiety, or even nothing at all. Anxiety is your brain perceiving a threat and reacting to it. It could be the Ouija board triggering that in you, or it could be literally anything else. But by all means, get rid of anything you feel might be triggering anxiety.
I assure you that you can just get rid of a Ouija board. Sure, spirits can attach themselves to things, but not in the way you're thinking. That's just a horror movie/TV trope. Spirits like to be around things that bring them joy in the same way that we like to be around objects that give us joy. It doesn't mean that extreme hauntings are going to occur just because an item is present.
Don't let your fear of Ouija boards get it the way. Get rid of it. You can give it to Goodwill or whatever, give it to a friend, put it in the trash, like it really doesn't matter. It's a board with letters on it. You're all good.
please be patient with me im from the 1900s
enamored lately with an asmr channel i stumbled upon on youtube that’s literally just a sweet korean lady pretending to give her enormous ragdoll cat (who she pretends is a famous and wealthy cat actress) extravagant spa treatments that are wildly, wildly overpriced (because the cat is rich)
Adding to this because not only is it a wholesome and great ASMR channel, but the lady behind it was very unwell lately and almost lost her eyesight. Subscribing to the channel and liking videos will help her out, along with her beautiful cats.
If King Charles dies on or before March 25th, 2024, he will technically be the shortest-reigning king in English history.
Anyway, like to charge, reblog to cast.

Hex Positive, Ep. 042 - Extended Warren Tea with Jenn the Ouija Girl and Lorelei Rivers
Now available on your favorite podcast app!
Happy New Year, witches! While we’re recovering from the mad rush of the holiday season, I’m sitting down with returning friend of the show Jenn the Ouija Girl and new pal from the tumblrverse Lorelei Rivers to both drink AND the spill the tea on those ghost-hunting grifters we all love to despise, Ed and Lorraine Warren.
Discussions about the careers and rhetoric of the Warrens make the rounds regularly in discussions about the paranormal among members of the witchcraft community. But who were the Warrens? Why do they inspire such ire even as the Conjuring franchise gains steam? How much of what we think we know about the supernatural comes from them? And why is it important to recognize – and refute – their rhetoric when we encounter it?
The Critical Thinking Witch Collect will be having a free virtual brew January 20th! Join me and Julie Bloomfield as we discuss glamours and self image. Sign up on their website: http://www.criticalthinkingwitches.com.

Coming to Hex Positive in January 2024....
What's this overly-friendly lady from Connecticut doing at our front door with a painting of our home?
What exactly does this Devil tarot card have to do with a mass-produced ragdoll?
And what are the cats conjuring up with that Ouija board?
Is it demonic possession? Mental illness? Or a couple of Catholic con artists on a decades-long grift?
We've been trying to reach you about your Extended Warren Tea....
omg ouija mom hiii
Wow hi I've literally not been called that since like 2017
Hi! First I’m so happy you’re still here! I read in one of your asks that gods are more powerful than anything and I wanted to ask you how many gods you think there are and your overall view of God?hope this makes sense!
So do I believe in a higher power that in this day and age we collectively refer to as God? Yes. I feel like our earth is such a miracle that there's no way it can all be a coincidence. I believe that we were created with love, just like how our earth was created with love.
Do I believe in more than one God? To be honest, I don't know. Sure, or maybe not. I grew up in a strict "there is only one god and one goddess" household, and I've spent a lot of time learning about religions that have one God or multiple gods. My conclusion is that a) there is no way we can know for sure, and b) it doesn't matter anyway. I know there is some kind of entity with incredible powers of creation and love, and that's enough. Believing in something exactly isn't going to change it, and I'm not even going to know for certain until I leave this body. I feel like my energy is best spent spreading love than arguing over how many gods there are.
My cousin use to play ouija board a lot and even got a haunting from annoying the spirits a lot and asking them all sorts of questions when she was drinking and partying with her friends. She would ask the spirits to scratch her and her friend to prove that they were real. They would do it and even do it without their permission when they would go to sleep and they would wake up with scratches all over their body. If that’s what they’re allowing the spirits to do then what did they expect? Lol
she did say a lot of the “freaky” stuff she encountered was probably in her mind too.
have you had any spirits touch you before?
Not that I can recall.
I will say that you can't really trust stories about Ouija boards that involve drinking, since intoxication can alter reality. And that it is possible to scratch yourself in your sleep, or scratch yourself when you're awake but not notice any markings until the next day.
I've been very curious about scratches that people get at places they investigate. They automatically link it to a demon, but is it just a trickster spirit messing with them?
I'm also really bamboozled by the concept that "scratches are caused by demons because three scratches is mocking the Holy Trinity" because it sounds very Catholic coded, and therefore very Warren-y.
Could spirits leave very harmless marks on your body? If they are very powerful and/or very angry, I don't see why not. Is it a demon? No. A demon could do far worse to your body. If they can't leave a mark on you that's more damaging than the scratches my kitten gives me, then a) they're a pathetic demon, or b) they're not a demon at all.
