đ„ (if its ok with you!)
//Of course! Sorry it took me so long to reply.
Mike had received a text around 3 AM from Haley asking if he could come tend to her while she was sick. As exhausted as he was, he peels himself out of bed and reaches for his coat. Stifling back a yawn, he climbs into his car and starts the long journey to her house. Chicken noodle soup and Sudafed in hand.
Haley looked up when she heard Mike open the door. She shivered a bit when the cold air from the doorway hit her. âH-hey, Mike,â she said. Her voice was more of a whisper than a anything. âSorry for texting you so late, I feel really bad.â She had to hold back the scowl pulling at her lips; she wasnât usually one to admit when she needs help. She reached behind her, trying to shove another pillow against her back.
âHey, Haley.â Mike replies as he approaches her, taking a seat on the edge of the bed. âItâs no problem, you know Iâm here for you.â He says with a smile, handing her a bowl of chicken noodle soup and placing the bottle of Sudafed on the nightstand. âHere, let me get that for you.â Reaching behind her and propping up another pillow against her back. âIs there anything else you need?â He softly asks.
âNo, Iâm - Iâm fine.â Haley blew her nose, making Mike jump a little. âYouâre a good guy, you know? I know a lot of people think youâre - â Haley sneezed loudly â - just full of yourself, but they couldnât be more wrong. Hell, the fact that you came out here for me at three in the morning says so much about youâŠâ Haley smiled up at Mike briefly, before looking down at her hands.
Mike smiles warmly at the compliment, a small blush creeping onto his cheeks. A reaction you would never see from his character, The Miz. âItâs not easy,â he softly replies, reaching for her hand to get her attention. âTrying to convince others youâre actually not that bad of a guy deep down.â
Haleyâs eyes widened when Mike took her hand. âWell, you convinced me.â She smiled a bit, looking back up at Mike. âScrew everyone else. Theyâre idiots if they canât see how great you are.â Haleyâs smile turned into a wide grin, and she held Mikeâs hand tightly.
Mike smirks at her shocked reaction. He enjoyed pushing the envelope from time to time and this was definitely one of those moments. His gaze remains fixed on her face as he lifts her hand to his lips and brushes a tender kiss across her knuckles. âThanks Haley, that really means a lot coming from you.â
Haleyâs heart stops in her chest, and she stares down at her hand.  Her mind goes blank, and she looks up at Michael.  After  a moment, she manages to stammer, âYou might catch my cold!â  She buries her face in her hands, her face burning.  ââŠAnd youâre welcome.  Youâre amazing,â she mutters into her hands.
The A-Lister emits a soft chuckle as she buries her face in her hands. He couldnât remember the last time he witnessed something so adorable. âDonât hide your face.â He murmurs, gently removing her hand from her face. âItâs too beautiful to keep hidden.â
"Oh, uh... Thanks." Haley's totally lost for words, which isn't something that happens too often. "Thank you." All she can do is thank Mike again, trying her hardest to ignore the red blush rising her cheeks. 'Maybe he'll just think it's a fever,' she thinks, she hopes, and she looks back at him.
