Steven and Connie were absolutely cuddling in that tower, and nobody can tell me otherwise.
So I drew this before Change Your Mind came out, because in the promo where Steven’s diving after the Gems, I thought he was diving after Connie who got knocked off a ledge???? IDK so this was really self-indulgent wishful thinking for angst fdjlkf.

That being said, I’m sure you all are familiar enough with what’s going on. As you’ve probably guessed, I’ve been a bit more active on twitter and instagram lately, so I’ll more than likely keep using those as my main art platforms. I’ll keep this blog and update it too, but it’s on the backburner, really. I’m also looking at joining Pillowfort.

I wanted to practice with my watercolors a bit, so I painted a little Connie. Hi! Just wanna tell you that you were (and still are!) a huge inspiration to me. You got me into Steven Universe but I also appreciate your variety and how open and transparent you are about things. You show us your best but also the messy, less perfect stuff that a lot of artists put aside - and you build your world(s) so well! I’ve improved in my own artwork because of you and I’m sorry it’s been a hard year, but I’ll be waiting for you when you come back 💙 even so, thank you for everything!

I actually have hard time imagining how me blundering my way through art could help anybody, but I’m so glad to have been an inspiration for you :”) And I like to show my messier/bad days, because I definitely appreciate when artists I look up to do that, myself! We’re all just humans, trying to get by, after all.

Trying to make more of an effort to doodle more! I tend to try too hard with all of my art, that I burn out frequently...which is probably why this year hasn't been great for art, oof.... So, to combat that, I'm going to try just mindlessly doodling in my sketchbook, at least 15 mins. a day! No worrying about quality, or how well it'll be received, just to doodle!
