studyblr intro

hi, i’m jen! so ive posted something similar twice, i believe, but i’ve failed to get this account up and running. with the new school year approaching i’d like to be used to regularly posting on here!!

why i started a studyblr

- i set high standards for myself, and i need a place i can be open about my failures, successes, and everything in between.

- i love the community! the support and help exchanged is beautiful.

- i want to inspire other people and get inspired myself.

about me:

- sophomore ! (18-19 school year)

- infj

- i’m a slytherclaw, if you will. tho i have major identity issues with my hogwarts house.

- i overload my schedule with clubs tbh it’s a whole mess

- i’m a native english speaker, studying spanish and french (being multilingual is one of my biggest goals)

my classes:

- honors english 2

- honors physics

- honors modern world history

- honors geometry

- honors spanish 3

- fundamentals of art

- photography

- intro to engineering

unfortunately one of the electives will have to be dropped in order to make room for a free period :(

inspiring studyblrs:

and so, so many more!!

id appreciate if you’d like or reblog this post if you’re a studyblr so i can follow you!

Hello guys! Sorry for the absence lately but I haven’t been feeling well. I am feeling much more anxious than usual, but luckily my spring break starts next week. Only two exams (physics and Italian) to go and then I am free (not really but just let’s pretend)!

Oh, what is this?! I love this sooo much! Transparent, neat, magnificent! So inspiring…. 😇

art history meme | 9/9 paintings: Nighthawks by Edward Hopper (1942)
Edward Hopper said that Nighthawks was inspired by “a restaurant on New York’s Greenwich Avenue where two streets meet,” but the image, with its carefully constructed composition and lack of narrative, has a timeless quality that transcends its particular locale. One of the best-known images of 20th-century art, the painting depicts an all-night diner in which three customers, all lost in their own thoughts, have congregated. Fluorescent lights had just come into use in the early 1940s, and the all-night diner emits an eerie glow, like a beacon on the dark street corner. Hopper eliminated any reference to an entrance, and the viewer, drawn to the light, is shut out from the scene by a seamless wedge of glass. The four anonymous and uncommunicative night owls seem as separate and remote from the viewer as they are from one another.
