The roof of the apartment building was cold against the flat of his back, and Skull stared up at the fireworks popping with deep booms overhead in showers of color. The sounds of the Splatfest were muffled by distance, the cheering of a crowd nothing more than a soft buzz on the night horizon.
"Hey." A light poke to his arm snapped him to reality, and Skull turned his head to look at Aviators, who smiled and lay beside him. "Lost in thought?"
Skull shrugged, turning his face back up to the sky. After another moment, he tugged his bandana down, breathing in the night air without the fabric blocking its way.

Please Just Roleplay. be cringe about it. at some point you have to make a choice between just writing your own story by yourself or Actually Interacting With Other Human Beings like you'll be doing in day-to-day life regardless and for the love of god ai is not a good alternative to either ever

trust me i tried character ai once just for the hell of it just to see what actual programming options there were and it was incredibly basic stuff like. what is their name. what is their opening prompt. upload a profile picture for them. barely anything to actually set up personality or depth or even a complete backstory. like an ai doesn't actually know shit about anything and it's almost always inclined to try and initiate sex with you eventually which is a whole other can of worms
ai is that one Bad rp partner that forces what they want to do onto you with literally zero room for negotiation. get yourself an actual rp partner who'll let's say purely hypothetically write a 200k+ fanfiction about gay cookie run fish with you. socializing is scary but sometimes you just gotta be scarier

first of all, rping with other people is THE formative experience. you literally learn so much about not just writing, but how to collaborate with another person creatively and how to weed out the bad ones you'll inevitably encounter. rping with other people CANNOT be replaced by ai bullshit because you can't get human connection from ai thats the whole point, its in the name
