Our physical locations are now closed to the public without an appointment, but there are still many options to access library resources and get help from our staff! ATTENTION NECC LIBRARY USERS: NECC is taking steps to ensure, as much as possible, the health and safety of our college community. As such, the NECC Libraries on both the Haverhill and Lawrence campuses will operate on a modified schedule this week and next, beginning 3/18/20 through 3/20/20 and continuing through the week of 3/23/20 through 3/27/20.Both libraries will be open to students, faculty and staff Monday through Friday from 9:00am-1:00pm, and Wednesday 1:00pm-4:00pm. The Lawrence campus walk-in computer lab (L149) will also be available for use during these hours. Reference librarians and academic technology staff will be available to chat via the library website or text (978-799-1905) Monday through Thursday from 8:00am-9:00pm and Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm. Reference librarians will also be available for remote information literacy sessions and individual meetings, which can be scheduled on the library website, by emailing reference@necc.mass.edu or emailing one of the reference librarians directly. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns!

The latest #NetNeutrality update has been posted to District Dispatch. It includes ways that you can get involved today. If you haven’t already, take some time to call or email your Senators and Representatives. Ask them to support net neutrality and tell them how your libraries benefit from strong, enforceable net neutrality protections.
Join protests online with some suggested social media messages on December 13 and 14:
- Hey @AjitPaiFCC – America’s 120,000 libraries depend on equitable and robust access to the internet to serve our communities. We need #netneutrality!
- .@FCC – Our libraries’ digital collections, podcasts, video tutorials, and more rely on an open internet. @AjitPaiFCC, keep #netneutrality!
- #netneutrality is the First Amendment of the internet. @FCC, please protect the right to read, create and share freely without commercial gatekeepers.
