12 years ago—almost to the day!—I first met @darrencriss at @themintla at a small gig he was playing. I had sat at a booth, waiting for my friends to arrive, and ended up offering the free space at my table to his friend Charlene's mom; he came over to say hi to Momma Kaye, and asked who her friend was. when she explained I was a stranger who let her sit with me, he immediately offered to buy me a drink; I flashed the two Xs on my hands, and without missing a beat, he said, "I mean. they have red bulls. you want a red bull?" and proceeded to buy me one. we had a lovely chat after the show, and I would end up going to a few more of his events over the next year. now, 12 years later, we finally found ourselves in a bar together again, and I apparently caught his eye across the room, as he said he kept staring at me and thinking "I know this girl—how do I know her?!" happy to have reunited with this goofball so many years later and remind him of how we first met, happier still to know I made enough of an impact on him all those years ago for him to remember my face, and so looking forward to our paths crossing again—hopefully sooner than 12 years from now! it was so, so good to see you, Darren.
