Dinah didn’t deserve Kate. Clearly. She was far from being the worst girlfriend, but she always thought she deserved… better ? She was so forgiving ! It was unreal. Barbara would only yell at her if she were having a date with her - as friends. But Kate? If Dinah were wearing a plastic bag and covered in blood, she would keep praising her.
Knuckles were puffy as well, without mentioning her poor short nails. She shouldn’t be here in the first place, it looked way too luxurious for Dinah. But the bright side was that Kate was smiling, looking back at her with shining adoring eyes. Dinah shrugged off her coat, unveiling her bare shoulders, but winced when she felt one of her bone crack. “Oopsie…” She moaned, but quickly leaned across the table to take Kate’s hand. “That’s a little more complicated than that.”
They had their teams. Even if Kate was part of the birds, she was originally working with the Batfam. And Dinah sometimes helped the Bats. So it wasn’t unusual to have one on an adventure while the other waited on the bench. “I didn’t meant to make you wait. But perhaps you’ll have to carry me bride style to our bed tonight,” she added with a face as she rubbed her sides. “You look sexy by the way.”
seeing Dinah so bruised was not easy to ignore, Kate was immensely concerned about her. eyes surreptitiously observe the injuries, even though she knew Dinah was built with tough skin, it would be heartless of her to simply not care.
" you look amazing too, " her thumb carefully caressed Dinah's hand, " listen we can head home if you want - get some ice on those bruises. I love you way too much to see you in pain just for a date night. "
" we can get some take out instead, and I can kiss you better while you tell me what happened. honestly, it's no big deal - I can get this place booked again no problem. I'm Kate fucking Kane. "

" what? " at first Kate wasn't sure if she had heard the question correctly at first, alas the vibe that enveloped the room confirmed that she had, and her heart sank almost immediately. she knew what her daughter was referring to, or at least could infer the reason.

One of her high heels broke, so she tossed the classy shoes down a trasher near the restaurant. The woman overly made up strode in the place, bare foot with her fishnets with bigger holes than it should, a furry - but fake - coat dangling around her shoulders. Her lips bruised, a black eye was slowly making its way to her beautiful blue look.
Dinah spotted her date, and sat across the table after she planted a kiss upon the beautiful ginger woman @rubycaped. "I know I look like an eastern european prostitute but..." She stopped herself, " I'm sorry I'm late."
truth be told, Kate did not mind the wait for Dinah. She knew the fine line that they walked as vigilantes meant that the 'normal' side of life was often sacrificed for the other. A warm, excited smile lit up her face once her gaze caught glimpse of the most gorgeous woman saunter closer.
" did you run into trouble, babe?" her tone was concerned but she was well aware Dinah could handle herself against common criminals. " or did trouble run into you? "
For all intents and purposes, Shepard had meant to get through the stack of reports on her desk, and maybe get a little stress relief from a work out and a hot shower to follow.
She hadn't expected Commander Kane's late arrival, nor had she expected a routine mission report to turn into this - hungry mouths and sloppy kisses, eager bodies and rough hands. The cold of the bulkhead stings against her now exposed lower back as the hem of her Alliance standard-issue t-shirt starts to ride up under Kate's grasp.
When they part, Shepard doesn't get a chance to catch her breath before she's given an order. She chuckles, low and deep in her chest. "Last I checked, this is my ship..." A rasp accentuates every syllable, but her hands, bunched up in the other woman's uniform, keep Kate firmly pressed up against her slightly shorter frame.
" are you pulling rank on me, Shepard? " her palm rested flat against the other commanders sternum, her pointer finger poised against Alice's strong jawline. That chuckle was pure music to her ears, she's heard the commander laugh before but never quite like that and Kate damn well wanted to hear it more.
With firm eye contact, Kate withdrew her hand from Alice's hair and ever so slowly began to pop open the buttons holding her shirt together, revealing the freckled and pale skin beneath.
" in that case, give me an order - Captain. "
i feel like this is an obvious conclusion to make but i've noticed lately that i find it way easier to throw myself deep into shippy nonsense if I have a lot of chemistry with the mun??? like not just being mutual but like ...... when they get me. and i can be unhinged in their dms and tell them how much i love them u kno???????

her taste lingered on Kate's lips, a melody of wild flower and sharp earthy tones. utterly invigorating. they were alone, huddled away in secrecy once again. she didn't mind staying discreet with their relationship - however complicated that was, whatever they had going on.

when she felt her hand be moved by Diana, she had first assumed the other had took notice of a wound that had escaped her own attention. such a pleasant surprise when the amazons lips graced her pale skin, prompting a coy smile across her face.

Kate did not expect the kiss, for Ivy to be so brazen out in the open. but she wasn't going to let the other simply leave it at a single kiss. keeping the act going, Kate tackled Ivy into the shadows with a smirk on her lips.
