tumblr mirrors on ‘photosugar’

So idk if others have noticed this before - but it’s the first time I’m seeing this, hence the post.

There’s a website, https://www.photosugar.com, which apparently mirrors all pictures, gifsets etc. people post on their tumblrs (and also other social media sites like twitter and instagram, if I understand it correctly). An eample for a tumblr user, with my name: https://www.photosugar.com/tu/lordhellebore

Now it won‘t turn up anything but a 404 error in my case, because I sent an e-mail to the contact address, which is darius@photosugar.com with the title “My content on your website”:

I got a reply consisting of the single word “removed” after just one day, and as you can see, it worked perfectly fine with the informal mail I sent. So if you want them to stop mirroring your tumblr, it seems all you really need to to is this.  

I can’t test the site for all of my mutuals, but I’m tagging a few whom I found on there by random trial & error, and I suggest you look yourself up if you see this post and dislike tumblr mirrors (even if this one is only for pictures, not text).

This is not fair use, y’all. Everything you post is copyright you, and tumblr’s rights to it are spelled out in the policy we all agreed to without reading when we signed up. These people are just yanking your photo posts (including your reblogs) and publishing them in a modified format without even notifying you, for whatever purpose - some way of making money off our labor, I guess.

I think the worst part was showing even the last likes… For God sake, I use tumblr just forSim-related stuff, bu what if I’d like to post a pic of myself?

Removed myself, they could at least ask for permission, before doing something like that.

Thank you to EVERYONE who supported today’s Save Wayward Sisters thunderclap! It was a huge success, reaching over 1.7 million people. But we’re not done yet!

Here’s the plan…

BUCKLE UP. We’re gonna try to get Netflix to pick up Wayward Sisters. We need your help.

We have worked too hard and believe in this too much to let go. So here’s the deal. We’re not giving up without a fight. That’s where you come in.

This week, get ready. Share this graphic as widely as you can. We need as many Wayward supporters as possible. Everything goes down on Thursday (May 17th).  If all goes according to plan, we’re gonna be the loudest thing out there that day.

Here’s what to do.

On Thursday, take pictures in your shirts. Write your thoughts. Create videos. Tell a friend to do the same. Tell ten friends. Tweet, post on facebook, on your tumblr, your instagram. It’s your time to shine. It’s our time to be heard.

Tell the CW how badly they messed up. Tell Netflix why you believe in the show, why you need it to happen, and how committed you are to the idea. Let them know that you would watch and recommend the show to new viewers. Make it clear that this is viable.

Make sure that you tag both @/TheCW and @/cw_spn, as well as @/Netflix, @/Variety, @/THR, @/EW, @/DEADLINE, and @/TVGuide. Be sure to use the #SaveWaywardSisters hashtag in every social media post.

Keep doing what you’re doing. We know many of you are creating your own calls to action, and we love it. Just be sure to use the correct tags and tell everyone else to do the same! We need to form a united front, and keeping our tagging and “@-ing” organized will make all of the difference. For ease, we will create a tweet on Thursday morning with all of the correct @s so you can just reply.

it’s a whisper that reverberates in coffee shops and restaurants and breakfasts anywhere where people are gathered right through the heart of Canada

did you hear about the crash

because as much as it might sound like a joke sometimes hockey is truly something that ties this country together from one end of the trans-Canada highway to the other

because for all that the cities get a lot of the attention Canada has a heart in its rural communities, too, diamonds waiting to be uncovered

it ripples through and it ripples down (impossible to tell the scope, the lengths to which it goes) because…

this is what it is to be rural to travel for hours and hours to play a league game or in a competition

it’s making a home for yourself on that bus having a seat that you prefer and knowing who you’re going to sit with the day before you travel

it’s learning what you like to do on a road trip how you’re going to spend your time carefully curating a playlist learning to fall asleep on the road

it’s sending your child away to live with a billet for a chance to play on a Junior A team a chance to realize their dreams for however long

it’s buying season tickets to Junior A hockey teams to have a front row seat to their youth and their heart and their willingness to volunteer in their community (in schools, in programs, on special days) their willingness to be a hero to the kids to look further than their own hockey careers and invest in the ones coming up after them

in rural Canada, Junior A hockey teams aren’t just hockey teams they’re knit into the very fabric of the community

they give everyone something to talk about something to invest in in the long cold winter

they carry hearts they carry hopes they carry dreams

this is why the whisper sounds this is why the news spreads this is why there’s an outpouring of sympathy as the news pierces to our hearts

it could’ve happened to any of our communities and we grieve with you
