I did a love reading just now for one of my cousins and I decided to use the tarot cards I got from the @misawa-redthreads-zine aaaand imagine my surprise when Sawamura and Miyuki came out to represent my cousin and his boyfriend. 🤭🤭🤭

And look at how conveniently Ochiai is nestled in between them. Their relationship is literally season 2 of the anime rn.

I’m honestly surprised at how well the Daiya cards worked, as they have been sitting in my fan treasure chest for over half a year now. And Ochiai (the cards identified themselves as the Tower/Ochiai) didn’t like waiting, so I thought they won’t respond to me but they are??? And they’re working so well with my RWS deck (Queen of Swords who usually doesn’t like working with others)??? Like, wow. Amazing.

I must stress and emphasize: fandom decks are awesome. 🤣

Pssst. If anyone wants free simple readings using the Daiya deck (or my RWS deck), hit me up??? I’m still learning so it might not be really indepth, but if you’re okay with that then coooool. 😊 or if you want fanfics based on a tarot pull, then that’s cool, too. 😊

It definitely makes me want to read more using them! Tho I end up fangirling a lot before doing the actual reading/interpretation

ACE Contributor Applications

What is needed to apply?

🏆 Artists need to submit up to three full illustrations, at least one with background. Providing fandom-specific work is optional. 🏆 Graphic artists must submit up to three illustrations, at least one showing text work. Providing fandom-specific work is optional. 🏆 Content contributors will be asked to showcase their creative ability. They may provide link/s to previous posted works showcasing the same.  

Additional Q&A

Can I submit traditional artwork? > Yes, as long as the artist can provide us with high-resolution scanned copy. 72dpi is acceptable during applications, but we will require at least 300dpi for submissions.
For content contributors, do I need to provide fandom-specific work? > It is preferred, since we expect the creative pieces to revolve around Daiya no Ace characters, but NOT a requirement.
What is needed to show “creative ability”?  >We want to broaden our search for contributors by choosing not to limit the applications to formal story-writing or story-telling, hence why we are requesting a showcase of creative ability. For writers, this may be an already existing written work, while for non-writers, this may be any alternative creative media (tumblr posts, personality quizzes, twitter polls, etc) as long as it is an original work by the applicant.
If I’m a writer, can I submit one of my written works as a link/sample? > Yes, absolutely! You may submit any of your written works which you think best demonstrates your creativity.
Is NSFW acceptable for applications? No, we will be strictly SFW even for applications.

ACE FAQ

What is ACE?

“ACE” is a fictional sports magazine featuring the characters from Daiya no Ace as athletes of various sports, and their journey to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The zine dimensions are expected to be around 8.5” by 11”, fully colored with a softcover, and perfect-bound! It is estimated to be about 80 pages and will be strictly safe for work (SFW).
All content will be ship-free. We will encourage our contributors to use as many characters within the Daiya no Ace fandom as possible.

APPLICATIONS

Contributor applications will open from Feb 5 and close on Mar 4 at 11:59PM EST. Selection will be finalized between Mar 5 to 14.
All applicants will be notified via the email they used during application. Notification emails will be sent no later than Mar 17.
We are aiming to accept 12 creative contributors, 20 artists, and 6 graphic artists.
Contributors will receive the PDF copy of the zine. In the event we reach our stretch target, a physical copy of the zine and/or merch items, including shipping costs, will be provided to all contributors.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

We will mimic a normal sports magazine. The content will be divided into: >>Lengthy pieces which may include locker room interviews, team or character in focus, etc >>Informal pieces such as quizzes, polls, character or team stats, etc >>Artist spreads which may include fake sponsor ads, match announcements, athlete endorsements, etc
The specific details will be worked out with all the contributors.

PRE-ORDERS & SHIPPING

All pre-orders will open from July 1. 
Physical pre-orders will close on Aug 15, while PDF pre-orders will remain open until Sep 15.
We will offer merch and PDF options. The specific details will be finalized with our contributors.
