1/10/20 ~ spooky season has arrived!

today I just an online English lit discussion class so afterwards I just wrote down some of the points I’d quickly scribbled down. I’m so so so tired, I just want to sleep all of the time but I’m going into uni tomorrow for my 🌟first in person class🌟 so I’m looking forward to that!!

30/09/20 ~ preparing for my English language lecture!

hi guys, just a quick post to get back into the swing of tumblr. I’m really excited for autumn and Halloween, even if it’s going to be different from last year! I’m just looking forward to movies, hot drinks and good food honestly 💓.

Maybe also a distraction from uni because the first two weeks of first year have been quite hard frankly! I’m not really enjoying university as I thought I would, mostly due to the lack of contact with other students and the university environment. It really has made me contemplate the choices I’ve made and consider future choices I might make. How are you guys feeling being back to school and uni?

Hey! What grades did ur school predicted for u? U r satisfied with it? How u doing?

Hi!

I’m assuming you’re asking about what my a level grades were this year due to teachers predictions and whatever else they used!?

In my alevels I got 3A*s and 1A ( a*’s in chemistry, biology, English lit and A in history) .

I’m pretty happy with them ahaha, so yeah I would say I’m satisfied! I’m doing good, I’ve been at uni for a week now so I’m just getting to grips with uni life and how to make the most of readings and stuff! Hopefully I’ll be making more posts soon! X

hello studyblr 👋🏻,

long time no posts! i thought I’d write a little post while I have a minute because a lot of things have changed and I really liked posting on here whilst I’ve been active over the last few years.

Soo...basically... I was going to one uni originally that was my firm choice that I had posted about on here already and I did attend that uni and move to the town! However...I came home again. A lot of things happened over the few days I was there and that mixed with the coronavirus pandemic caused me to move back home. I have no hate for that university and I think part of me will always want to go there but I don’t think with the circumstances at the time it was right for me, which is deeply sad and sometimes I do get pangs of regret.

However, I made this choice myself and I came home and I was prepared to take a gap year. Through a random online form, I put in a very very late application to my local university here in NI and by some late luck with a few days before lectures- was offered a place! So this year I will be starting university studying English and History, not where I originally wanted or where I had planned but where I am now! So yeah :) at least this means more studyblr content........

Hi please could you give tips on how to revise for GCSE Maths and how to revise science in general❤️

Avatar

HI!

I think for GCSE Maths the best advice I can do is to practice, practice, practice. Try all the practice questions you can find for a certain topic because then doing those types of problems will become more natural to you and for GCSE there really is only so many ways they can ask a question! Your maths teacher is your most valuable resource, so if you’re struggling with something ASK THEM! I’m sure 99% of good maths teachers will help you work through it or even give you some time before or after class. If you can’t find any more of a certain type of question-ask your maths teacher to provide you with some. I’m a very ‘wordy’ type of person, so for me if i was really struggling with how to do a certain type of question I would write out the steps clearly in word format to allow me to process what I had to do better. Also maybe writing out different formula or equations required on flashcards is a good idea because these are so handy that you can refresh and test yourself on the content all the time!

i’ve talked about how best to revise and prepare etc. for science subjects in these questions:

I hope this helps! If you want any more specifics just let me know!!x

Ok I need help! I need to pick a third subject to do, I’m already studying English and medieval history! I’ve narrowed it down to:

-modern history

-comparative lit

-german

-classics

-business management

Any opinion would be welcomed, or even just pick a random one and tell me! Comment or message me, I’m so indecisive.

results dayyyyyy

good luck for tomorrow everyone! this is such a weird year (biggest understatement ever) but i hope no matter what- tomorrow brings what you need it to bring. I think we should all be proud of ourselves, of how hard we’ve worked and what we’ve overcome despite the grades on the page/computer screen tomorrow!

despite everything I’m still very nervous so if anyone has tips or random activities i can do to distract myself they would be very welcome.  or if you just need someone to vent to Xx

goodluck guys! see you on the other side ;)
