Tolkien describes Daeron's hands so many times so that we know he's prime fodder for anyone with a hand kink

Tolkien anytime Daeron enters the scene: I need everyone to understand how slender and delicate his hands are. The most remarkably slender and delicate fingers in the room, any room, anywhere. Just the most elegant hands. Hands that could finger an Ainur. Hands so beautiful people spontaneously developed hand kinks just from looking at him.

“Draft 1: But [Daeron] looked on Luthien and would he had not spoken then, and no more would he speak that day, though Thingol’s face with wrath was grey. Draft 2: But [Daeron] looked on Luthien’s face and faltered, seeing his disgrace in those clear eyes. He spoke no more, and silent Thingol’s anger bore.”

— Daeron regrets his divulgance to Thingol, The Lay of Leithian (draft comparison)

After debarking, Daeron had spent a long while ambling around the quay. With nowhere to go, and no one to meet (that he knew of), he was quite at a loss. The famed shores of Valinor were beautiful as had been told in song, but he found himself already queasy with homesickness for Middle-earth, and deeply concerned he had made the wrong choice in allowing himself to be talked onto one of Cirdan's westbound boats.

Resolving to go and find the quasi-mythical king of the Teleri, who was brother to Thingol, he quickly found himself terribly lost, and regretting the entire adventure quite thoroughly. Barefoot, with only the things he had carried on his person for decades or centuries (and a lyre he had taken on impulse from the Grey Havens), he had little to induce anyone to help him from point A to point B, even if he had picked up rudimentary Quenya in the time before the ban.

“In those days, it is said, Daeron the Minstrel, chief loremaster of the kingdom of Thingol, devised his Runes; and the Naugrim that came to Thingol learned them, and were well-pleased with the device…By the Naugrim the Cirth were taken east over the mountains and passed into the knowledge of many peoples; but they were little used by the Sindar for the keeping of records, until the days of the War, and much that was held in memory perished in the ruins of Doriath.”

Aegnor squinted at the shelf of books, trying to remember which one he was supposed to read.

He really needed to start making notes when Finrod gave him study tips.

Doriath's royal library--while a large collection of books for the Umanyar--was hardly worth remarking on. The Iathrim were not a group which valued the written word much; Daeron's own book collection rivaled that of the royal family (and several of their volumes had been written or gifted to them by Daeron himself).

Nevertheless, Daeron did occasionally desire to peruse something they had, and so found his way to the frankly lacking library.

"Looking for something in particular?" he asked, when his entry into the room was greeted with one of the golden heads of Luthien's cousins from over the sea.

It's too bad the Nolofinweans and Feanorians never got to visit Menegroth so Daeron could sing insulting songs about them while they had an audience with Thingol and Melian

“Something like that.” Beleg smiled thinly. Daeron was closer to the mark than he could know. Beleg considered explaining, but he would have to explain Túrin, and the thought of talking about him made Beleg almost nauseated.

He searched for another topic; talking was a pleasant distraction from pain and misery, but not when he had to talk about something so raw. “You know me. Always finding trouble. Well, it seems I have finally found myself in trouble too deep to escape.”

Daeron knew enough about talking light to avoid something heavy that Beleg's redirection was painfully obvious, but in his new, more vulnerable state, Daeron found himself unwilling to push very hard on it.

"Apparently not," he said instead, continuing to wind the bandage fabric around Beleg's wound. "As here you are, talking my ear off, just like before." Normally this would have been paired with a flash of a toothy grin, but presently the lighter tone of voice was all he could manage. Surreptitiously, delicately, he pressed his fingers against Beleg's gut around the wound, to see if the flesh felt hotter than it should. He couldn't really tell. He wished--not for the first time since leaving Doriath--that he'd paid more attention to the healers.

"If you've left Thingol with enough of a mess to clean up, perhaps escaping over the mountains for a few years isn't the wrong idea."
