An Apology
I haven't written anything in about a year and a half - both here and in the amazing land of Ao3. I'm sorry for that. I just wasn't able to. I'm sure I'm not the only one who spent 2020 being bulldozed by life and it unearthed a slew of problems for me I hadn't known existed until that moment. Suddenly, easy things were difficult. Like I was more fragile than I'd ever realised. I was unable to navigate social media. It was like I had to pull back from feeling anything, so I did.
Sometimes, you can't return.
For the people who were waiting for my fics to be updated, I apologise profusely because I don't think they will be. Not because I don't want to write - I just lost all feel for writing for Arrow. I had a reservoir of emotion for it once upon a time and it's either no longer there or I don't have the energy to find it anymore. Stress can screw with you. It happened to me once before when I was on fanfic.net, well over a decade ago.
Now I'm interested in other things. If I write again it probably won't be Arrow, so if you subscribed, you might want to unsubscribe. I don't want you to have to be reminded of what I couldn't finish for you because at the end of the day, I wrote for the people I met here. You were wonderful and patient.
If there's anything left of what I wrote for Arrow I'll post it.
I'm not sure what I'll do on tumblr - whether I'll close this profile or just change it completely. I just really hope you're all doing well.
