Turning Red characters as Sailor Scouts! 🐼🌟

I tried making each character according to which Sailor scout character I thought would fit best (even though the colour palette isn't the same)

Is no one gonna talk about the moment in Eternals when Ajak stopped Thena’s sword with her bare hand and didn’t even flinch??

Now that’s a fucking power move

Mommys? Sorry… mommys? Sorry, mommys??

one of the first things i noticed about ikaris was how robotically he moved compared to the other eternals. he moved almost soullessly, like he was being controlled (kind of reminding me of bucky from ca:tws). however, the rest of the eternals moved with life and purpose. they had families, got jobs, and they all somehow figured out how to impact humanity without using their power (except druig, but i’m in love with him so don’t worry abt it). it seemed as if ikaris never found his purpose outside of being an eternal, therefore never finding his true will to live.

There is something quite funny to me about parents who are responding to Turning Red in the same way Ming did to Mei.

13-year-old girls don’t act like that nor do they even like that kind of stuff.

Have you ever met a pre-teen or teenage girl? A nerdy one? Especially a confident nerdy one?

Also, more importantly were you not paying attention to the whole plot thread of how Ming didn’t really know her daughter - because she had a certain idea of who her daughter was

Mei felt like she couldn’t be open with her mother, because she felt like she was going to be judged.

Hmmm, I wonder how some of the children of these very harsh and judgmental parents might feel about telling their parents about their interests.

It’s inappropriate to talk about periods.

I believe one tumblr person (I don’t know if they’re a parent) said that “stuff” should always stay behind closed doors.

Then there’s the whole crazy idea of you should wait when it first happens or when they’re old enough to understand.

Seriously, were you not paying attention to the whole plot point of how Ming didn’t tell Mei about the red panda spirit because she thought she had more time?

Thus, completely catching her daughter off guard and causing more problems, because Mei never expected to turn in a red panda and was woefully unprepared for that.

My child tells me everything.

Did you even watch the movie?

I don’t know you, your child nor your relationship with them, but I can guarantee you there are things they don’t tell you. Probably a lot more than you think.

It’s not even a bad thing. They’re growing up and want some stuff to and for themselves. That’s normal.

Considering how harshly you’re reacting to this movie and treating it like it’s the devil; I’m going to say you are a contributing factor to them hiding stuff.

Marvel is putting out fantastic films this year, shame none of them are for white straight dudebros, truly a tragedy 🤷‍♀️

When I was a kid and could barely edit photos, I made a series of edits to Boy Meets World screenshots to make them look like horror movie shots. I found them when looking around for something else. Thought I’d share. They make me smile, even if they’re not actually that good.

Marvel Comics #1000: We’re Calling Him Ben

I feel this is an important addition. He saves so many people on a regular basis that this just keeps happening. And he feels so much for his uncle that the answer is always the same.

…. This hits different when you realise he’s canonically Jewish

Can you please elaborate ? I’m curious as to what it means

You can read a pretty good summary of it here, but as (most likely) Ashkenazi Jews, PP probably follows the minhag (custom) that says “that by naming a newborn child after a deceased loved one, the soul lives on through the child.” (Quoted from the site linked above.) And given how his Uncle Ben died, it just makes it all the more sadder tbh.
