So its the @fyeahghosttrick Ghost Swap 2023 and in celebration of this great year of the remaster IIIIIIIIIII… threw Cabanela up a flight of stairs. Sorry @gippley-png, but you gave me a Cabs Angst Free Space and my brain took off for the unseen bridge of Chapter 15 - he’s gotta get from the Basement to the Super’s Office somehow [exploded, unwillingly]. It could be said that the implication is far scarier than a set reality, but I tried to fill in the gap as painfully as possible. Maybe too painfully - as the kids say, I think I may have cooked a bit too hard with this one! Nevertheless I hope you enjoy this anyway?!

[A big shout-out also to the Ghost Swap mods on the occasion of the final Swap in this format - this has been my favourite fan event, in anything, for at least six years straight, and a big part of that is the work you all put in!]

So Ghost trick is receiving a PHYSICAL edition, which the complete version includes the following ;-

  • A physical copy of the game
  • A new remastered soundtrack CD
  • A mystery solving kit (Your warned to only play it after you've completed the game due to spoilers for the full game.)
  • A pack of Ghost trick themed Playing cards
  • And a beautiful box it'll come packaged in.

Animate's online Japanese shop meanwhile will be selling an exclusive Ghost trick can badge (76 mm) with any orders as a bonus

Amiami will be selling an exclusive acrylic keychain (no design shown as of yet) with certain editions of Ghost trick from its site!

I was able to find out about these checking out the Japanese edition of the new Ghost trick site for the upcoming remakes release!

Aaaand a happy birthday to the DS Japanese edition of Ghost Trick, which launched on June 19th exactly 4 years ago! Without this masterpiece, the world of video games wouldn't have been the same and I'm not even kidding.

GUESS WHO’S BIRTHDAY IS TODAY? :D  Everyone’s favourite amused fruit, Myst maniac and Jowd appreciation extraordinaire, LaughingMango! And because she’s always doing doodles to amuse me despite being the busiest of bees I figured I should make her something special inspired by a recent comment :D  Plus this will add to the lack of Pigeon Man art.  Even on the beach he’s still wearing that labcoat.

For the record: I figure this takes place in the new, happy timeline.  I also figure that while Cabanela did steal Missile he (cryptically) told Jowd his plan before he left and the moment he got to whatever tropical location they are at he sent a postcard back to Lynne assuring her that her doggie was in good hands.  I can just imaging the following conversation.

Lynne: ……Cabanela is in the Bahamas with my dog wtf

Jowd:  You act like this is something unusual for him to do.

Sissel sulks because he didn’t get catnapped.

First impressions of Ghost Trick:

1. This music and art style are absolutely swagalicious. 2. Why would you name your dog “Missile”? 3. Missile actually perfectly captures the personality a dog would have if it could talk, more so than any other talking dog I’ve seen in any other work of fiction in my whole life. 4. This game is 2sp00py4me.

the second best thing about playing ghost trick is when you convince somebody else to play ghost trick unspoiled and you get to feed off their reactions.

the best thing about playing ghost trick is that you have played an excellent thrill ride of a game with memorable characters, witty dialogue, interesting puzzles and a satisfying plot resolution

the worst thing about playing ghost trick is the sobering knowledge that there are people out there who have not played ghost trick
