when life gives you lemons.

yo, i’m lemony & here’s some stuff you might like to know:

  • i used to write fanfiction, mostly from requests garnered here on tumblr, but i don’t really do that much anymore.
  • i am an adult and this blog contains links to adult content.  as such, i’d appreciate it if no minors interacted with my blog or my work.
  • i do not ship or follow blogs that ship senseis and their students or characters related by blood or marriage.  even if we have interacted before and/or are friends, i will not follow and/or may unfollow your blog if you post this content.  that doesn’t mean we can’t still chat; i hope you understand.
  • that’s probably it.  this blog is pretty dead these days, but i hope you enjoy poking around if you choose to.  take care of yourselves out there.  <3

Roses are such perfect organisms. Even when cut back to the root or gnawed through by insects, new growth will claw out of the dirt or spike straight through the ruined leaves, all stubborn red and resilient in the springtime. Their blossoms are universally considered some of the most beautiful, and yet their thorns are ruthless, slicing through anyone who gets too close.

Vash cradles a pink flower in his hands, thinks of all the adversity the blooming bush before him must have overcome to make its way from a ruined Earth all the way to No Man's Land. He smiles as one of the thorns pricks his real hand, piercing the outer layer to draw a small bead of blood.

"Sorry about that," Vash whispers ruefully, "I shouldn't have gotten so close."

Kakashi felt the hard wood of the the auditorium chair digging into his back and adjusted. It was dificult not to roll his eyes as families settled into their seats, turning to talk excitedly with one another about the show.

His eyes flitted to the decorations fixed to the front of the stage, the hand painted banner with "A Time to Remember" scrawled on the front.

kakashi & the traveller coming across naruto with a similar shape-shifting affliction (he transforms into a fox when he experiences strong emotions) amd essentially adopting him; vowing to find a cure

sasuke and itachi defending their transformed clansman obito when kakashi & the traveller eneact a plan to capture him (his fire is destructive but they know it is not his fault)

orochimaru the sorceror at the heart of transformational curses, a trickster and manipulator

sakura and tsunade healers who use medicinal herbs - kakashi, naruto, and the traveller stumble upon them in the forest

near-death can take away the curse but there is no guarantee of survival (a lightning strike to the heart?) - kakashi decides to remain in his wolf form rather than risk being separated from those he loves

unfortunately, i do not have any fic wips to share. instead, here is a weird original thing (and more than a sentence, apologies):

“I will never forget,” I promise.  And it’s true.  I will never forget them as long as I live, though I cannot say anything of what will happen once I am gone. Then, the remembering and the forgetting will no longer be in my hands, and I will have to hope that whatever happens, I may return to the earth.  To the dirt still caked beneath my fingernails. Perhaps one day I will be the vine wrapping around an ankle begging to be tended.
