I honestly do not think “AI will never be as good as human creativity” is a good argument at this point. Like yes, it is true right now, but they’re just going to keep trying to prove it wrong. To me the line is, “Modern AI is built off of PLAGIARISM, UNPAID and UNDERPAID labor.” AI is a labor rights issue, not just for the people who’s labor it would replace, but for the people whose labor was STOLEN for the AI to “create” anything.
This panel holds a special place in my heart.

Once a concubine to a powerful warlord, this austere, perceptive owlin dabbled in illegal spy work to build skills that would allow her to escape a life of servitude. Though still hunted and ever-paranoid of being recaptured, she risks her newly-earned freedom in a world she barely understands to attempt a daring rescue - saving the mentor who helped her begin this new life.
Say hello to my beloved kung-fu kicking shaolin owlin! She's easily one of my favourite characters I've ever rolled up for D&D and Pathfinder. There's something just incredibly badass to me about a nimble, acrobatic archer who can unleash brutal taloned kicks in close-quarters without ever dropping the bow. She's an eastern barn owl, and very heavily inspired by Fang Runin, the protagonist of R. F. Kuang's excellent dark fantasy novel The Poppy War.

I continue to have a ridiculous amount of fun with ArtFight this year! I’ve slowed down a bit for paid work and it being too dang hot and humid to think some days, but here’s another batch! Featuring Wolfgang (Robofeather), Zahra (rosietheillustrator), Lavhi'vre (MMtheMayo), and a revenge piece of Aecan (Anxious_Witch). I have a few more in the hopper to help rack up points for Team Vampires!
