Art shouldn’t be done for the attention, its should be done to your pleasure, and if you must, take a break!
1)EXPERIMENT WITH NEW MEDIUMS
Find yourself! experiment with new mediums in art,so you can get used to the different types of art, watercolours, colour pencils, try new things to get used to them, don’t only stick to one thing, you may just get bored of it,that also means trying new styles stepping slowly out of your comfort zone,so if you arent used to realism try semi-realism
Try making art friends, who dont only like art but share the same interests as you do,its hard when you have a bond only made out of one thing like art and if you keep on talking about just art it may get boring, but art friends do help, they a can inspire you, collab with you and sometimes just make it really fun!
3)STOP COMPARING YOURSELF
Try and stop comparing yourself to other artists, its hard i know,iv’e done it A L O T,but remind yourself that one day you can reach that level, there are artists out there who have learnt are in 2/3 years and have surpassed other people who have been doing art for 12 years! if people can reach such amazing levels so can you!
i know it sounds stupid to be saying the same things other artists usually say,but look at how your art looks like when you were a kid,and now look at your art now,how did you improve?by practice. (or some how sold your soul to satan as a toddler)
T R E A T Y O ‘ S E L F : do the things you love, when your drawing draw for yourself, draw the characters you like, put in the colours you like in it,have fun,if you find it enjoyable to draw memes DO. IT. treat yourself to new art supplies if you find the chance to,even if its a lead pencil
5)THERE IS NO NEED TO WORRY
We are still young and its never too late to start/do art,i have seen people who have recently started art and are wayyyyy better at it than i am,but that doesnt mean i will never get better,i used to think that i had never really improved in art ever since last year, but to my friends it looks so different,we improve, and we will get better
As for the youtube part of this, upload when you want to/when you have the time to,there is no reason for you to be upset over not uploading, content should not be forcefully put out,if so,you may end up not displaying yourself at your best,on top of that its important to know that your mental health and health in general is more important than what you put out to the media
if you still wanna produce work for the public, you can have an Instagram, tumblr etc. so you can still display your work like sketches etc. which would take less time since you wouldnt go through the trouble of editing and uploading!
Hard work will not be wasted.
I apologize before hand if this offends anyone, this was not intended to hurt anyone
