It was awesome seeing the fandom band together and produce so many great things! I’m in sucha slump with writing and producing content myself, but seeing you guys work hard has really inspired me. I hope I can get back on my feet soon and continue to yell about these idiots with you guys.

And thank you to @gamoraspeter – really, without her, this event probably wouldn’t have been so successful. She helped me plan and plan, then helped stay on top of things. I hope the next project, we’ll equally split the work and continue to grow in this community. SHE’S DA BEST!!!!!!

I feel like this was a good step for the fandom and for the friends I’ve made along the way. I love you all so much. I hope you guys have some very happy holidays!

Gamora wants to be comfortable around Mantis, finds herself wishing for the generosity of heart that comes so naturally to Peter. But it’s still difficult enough for her to trust anyone new, let alone someone with even the theoretical ability to control her mind.

I only remember the sweetest of things

Peter’s sitting on the grass when she finds him, back against a tree. He smiles and takes his earbuds out as she approaches; it’s not like he’d been trying to hide, really, especially not from her. He’d only gone a couple of feet into the woods.

“Hey,” Gamora says. “You alright?”

“Yeah,” he says honestly. “Just wanted a moment away from all–that.” He gestures vaguely the way she’d come, where the wreckage of the Milano sits. “Not you, though, if you wanna join.”

He sits up a little straighter and pats the ground between his legs. He’s not sure if she’ll take the invitation; this thing between them is still new and a bit tentative, though they’ve come so far in just the past couple days.

It only takes her a second of consideration, though, then she’s sitting on the ground and leaning back against his chest, smiling tentatively up at him. He smiles back, heart about ready to burst just from having her so close like this.

“Comfy?” he asks, wrapping his arms around her waist after waiting for her nod.

“Yes,” she says simply, relaxing further into him and laying her arms across his.

“It’s peaceful out here,” he observes after a moment. “We should find more places with nature like this. Preferably without crashing into them.”

“Not our most graceful moment,” she agrees. “Though Drax enjoyed it.”

12 Days of Starmora

when I do he turns away again

Gamora hears the door slam all the way from the Quadrant’s kitchen, as well as the subsequent stomping down the hall, and she sighs.

“Must’ve gone well,” Rocket mutters.

“It doesn’t sound that way,” Drax says. Mantis nods in agreement and Rocket just shakes his head.

Gamora has already stood up, grabbing some toast and a couple pieces of fruit. “I’ll go see what happened.”

Peter was supposed to go to Groot’s room and tell him to come out and eat breakfast, but she can still hear the sounds of videogames coming from behind Groot’s closed door. She decides to go after Peter first, though, as he must’ve been pretty upset to not come back to the kitchen.

She’s not sure what she expected – Peter staring up at the ceiling maybe, listening to his Zune and pouting, or perhaps kicking things around the room and cursing under his breath – but it’s not this.
