"I'm pants at learning Occulmency and maybe a talisman would help?"
Hermione considered for a moment, then nodded. "There's likely a book in the library. Let's check there first!"

"A dream," Severus said softly.
"Happy?"

"Brilliant!" Harry smiled sleepily.

The curse flew at Harry, who stood tall in the battle. Harry, the Master of Death, absorbed the Killing Curse and Harry cast a piercing charm at the Death Eater's forehead. The man dropped.
"It only encourages them, love," Severus said calmly. "You should not take the risk."
"Mayhaps. I can only hope that some day they learn," Harry replied.

Severus watched the rise and fall of Harry's chest, as Harry slept in his bed. That this amazing young man was at his side was humbling.
"Y're staring agin..." Harry mumbled. "Sleep."
Severus gathered him close and Harry cuddled against him.
Severus closed his eyes.

"Just a little more," the Healer coaxed.
"You can do it," James panted as she squeezed his hand.
One more pain and... a wailing cry.
"It's a boy!" the Healer announced.

After the tears, Harry became steelly-eyed.

"Let's go to Gringotts," Sirius replied with a sharp smile.

Severus borrowed a pensieve from Dumbledore so that he could watch himself and practice until he perfected it.
"Nice!" Minerva murmured one day as Severus made his robes flare dramatically.

It was twilight when Sirius woke. He blinked, sleepy-eyed and weary.
He heard human voices and reluctantly changed from Padfoot to Sirius. A human guard would certainly report him if he was found in his form.
One man jeered at them as he lazily checked each cell.
When the guard left, Sirius went back to Padfoot, so that difference between dreams and reality was not so stark.

Severus knew this was a bad decision but also that it was too late to back out.
"Severus Snape. Kneel." Voldemort ordered.
Severus held out his arm and grit his teeth. Voldemort pressed his wand into Severus' arm and started chanting.
If nothing else, Severus refused to scream.

"We're in the back," Derek replied.
Stiles found them in the bathroom, hair scattered everywhere and... Stiles sniffed. "Is that honey?"
Derek smirked, hiding it from a pouting Eli.
"We were in the woods and," Derek glanced down, "someone landed clumsily, found a bee hive, then stuck his head in the tree to check it out."
Stiles bit back his own laugh. "Honey in hair..."
"In fur!" Derek corrected.
"Oh, sweetie," Stiles said to Eli. "That's quite the mess."
"Had to cut some of it out." Derek waved the scissors.

"Come on," she took his hand. "At least get some breakfast."
