unless it's like something seriously heinous (racist, transphobic, just plain aggressive, etc) i don't understand ppl who will make a text post and then someone will reblog it with their comments and the op will be like "get off my post/this isn't for you/etc" like 1) why do you even care 2) just block them if it bothers you that much. that's what i would do. highlighting it just re-introduces it to your followers who may now start bothering this random person and then it just drags out into a circlejerk where nobody wins

"writers deserve attention more than actors" literally only 2% of actors can pay the bills with acting. For every megastar on screen there are a dozen other people in the shot who are SAG. Acting gets so glamorized but there are SO MANY people in SAG who NEED residuals to live on. Background Party Girl #4 needs her check too!!!! There are people who play recurring characters on syndicated shows who cant afford health insurance!!! Ke Huy Quan gave an oscar winning performance and LOST HIS HEALTH INSURANCE the next year.
also interesting how when it was just the writers on strike it was "ugh why do they even need more pay they're all rich anyways" and now that the actors have joined the strike it's "well the writers deserve more attention cause actors are all rich anyways." wonder who it benefits to constantly be portraying striking workers as greedy whiners & pitting them against each other.

Lin-Manuel Miranda is not untalented but he shouldn't be making billion dollar disney movies or whatever. This guy should be in a garage making deeply earnest but unpolished rap opera concept albums and posting them online for a niche fanbase of no more than 100,000 too-online theatre nerds. Hiring him to make forgettable paint-by-numbers radio friendly disney princess pop is trying to raise devil's pupfish in captivity. You have to stop giving him money and let him go make cringe in his natural habitat or you're never going to get anything good.

but it’s also a show where all the fucked up alien shit actually is real, so she’s just constantly wrong about everything
What’s funny is how often they’re both wrong. Mulder will be like “the victims all had their livers scooped clean out this is obviously the aliens escalating from cattle mutilation” and Scully will be like “don’t be silly Mulder this is clearly just a serial killer who’s really good with surgical tools” and then it turns out the actual killer is an immortal sewer man who comes out ever quarterly century to feast on human liver.
I cannot stress enough that this is literally the plot of an actual episode
