Tears welled in silver orbs as she held her daughter in a heartfelt embrace, fists bunching in the cloth of the red cloak. This fairytale reunion brought with it a feeling that was ineffably surreal, turned painfully bittersweet by years of compounding guilt. Despite the weight of emotion, Summer found the will to draw a smile, even if it only lasted a moment.
