the thing is like, the batkids give Bruce SO much shit in his own damn house. his house, his cave, with his suits and tech.
adding to this: the justice league gives Batman SO much shit while literally living and working on a satellite he built and funded entirely with his own money.
Batman is very stereotypical-dad coded. Like he works so many hours, pays for everything, and just wants things to work nicely and boom he's got a sixteen year old at home slamming the door he paid for and telling him why he sucks, and then he's got a thirty-something year old at work slamming the door he paid for and telling him why he sucks.

I feel like Slade’s gonna be bragging about that job to everyone he knows. The Batkids will find out quickly if Tim doesn’t tell them.
I like to think Slade will absolutely tease Batman about this the next time he sees him. Clark won’t be amused, but the batkids will.

I just KNOW the “Batman dropped out of school too!” conversation has come up at least once in the Lane-Kent household.
Clark: Yes, Batman dropped out of school, but it was because he was genius adrenaline junkie who preferred getting hit in the head on a routine basis and tinkering with machines in his massive underground Cave he built and designed by himself, Jon.

Btw u mentioned you hadn't read a ton of stuff w/ ollie in it in a post a while ago so i hope a rec is okay :) I'd say if you're gonna read any single comic series hard traveling heroes (Green Lantern 1960 #76-87) is the best, it's very foundational for his character (and Roy's tbf, esp in 85 and 86). One of the clearest early examples of his political views, and his own hypocrisy in some instances. Mind it's still the 70s so yk. Not always the most socially aware.
