Sorry for jumping on your post like this @myobsessionsspace I love the romance of this scene. I'm so glad that they get to have this. That they get to sit side-by-side and enjoy each other's company while sharing a meal together.

Remember this:

When the Claimers got the jump on them? It was such a gut wrenching, brutal episode. But for a brief moment, Rick and Michonne sat side-by-side and enjoyed that meagre meal. Rick even mentioned how all they spoke about anymore was food. How that highlighted his desire to sit with Michonne and just talk about anything and everything. Even them getting caught out like that, sitting beside one another instead of across from one another, spoke volumes about wanting to be near one another. To close that distance. To relish in the moment. That pull and attraction was too strong for them not to. It was a poor choice for two hardened survivors who knew it would have been smarter to sit facing one another for safety reasons. But there was always this need to be close, even before they fell in love and got together.

I don't know. I just loved that scene from TOWL. It was such a lovely moment amongst other lovely moments because I was reminded of the other scene back in season 4. Everything they've been through, all of the pain and horror, makes the scenes from TOWL even sweeter. They deserve it.

The RJ bashing…please just say what the real issue is because Antony executed his part impeccably [and has throughout TWD].

Rick has been a looming figure for RJ his entire life. He’s never had the experience of having his father physically present, so in essence, and especially being so young and not even conscious enough to understand the gravity of everything, his reaction to seeing his dad for the first time is actually perfect. It’s not overly emotional because it can’t be and it shouldn’t. Instead, you see the pride in his face. The pride and joy a child sees when they meet their hero.

What The Ones Who Live has made abundantly clear is that finding Rick and bringing him home was a mission fit for Michonne, and Michonne alone. Because Rick didn’t just need to be brought back home - he needed to be brought back to life.

Sure, other characters could have located him and tried to rescue him from the CRM, but Rick needed more than a rescue…he was in need of a resurrection. And there’s only one person on the planet capable of doing that for him and it’s his wife, the love of his life, Michonne Grimes.

Rick is a man who for all intents and purposes chose to die because he couldn’t see her face anymore and started to believe he never would again. He was only ever going to come alive again when her eyes, her presence, her heart was back in his life. He was only ever going to be free from not just the literal but mental shackles of the CRM when he could hold her in his arms again and reconnect with the woman whose heartbeat he shares.

I love how this story stayed consistent to the message that was true in the main show as well, and that’s that Rick needs Michonne. And Michonne needs him too. Rick’s relationship with Michonne is the one dynamic in his life where he’s poured into as equally and deeply and lovingly as he pours into her. Where he doesn’t have to be anything but himself. It’s the one relationship that can bring him back time and time again no matter the circumstances.

Richonne is a love supreme because they are two halves of one heart. So saving him - not just in body but in heart, mind, and soul - it could only ever have been her. 😌

The proposal was perfect because it was so THEM. They are in the middle of a mission/the 5min of calm they get before the mission and they’re gonna make the most of it. Rick is leading the moment, the way he did when they became a couple. Like Michonne’s mind was fully on their plan. They are in their regular clothes. It’s just the 2 of them. Rick has some blood on him. Michonne kneeling down to be at the same height cause theyre equal. It’s just THEM. 🥹❤️‍🔥

They really are one of a kind. I don't think we will ever find another couple like them with all the nuance they contain, all the chemistry they have. They are truly the best ship a person could EVER ask for in their life!

This is a pretty bold move, but you said you believed in me. So, if you want this bench for yourself, I can take this large pizza past the big, blue building, and eat it alone at my miserable desk at my miserable job.

I do believe in you...And I do like pizza.
