You sat patiently outside the principal's office, you were annoyed, first days of school are bad enough, but being in a new school was worst for you. Your face was adorned by a light frown and you sighed when you realized another minute went by. A blondish boy came walking at a fast pace and avoid your gaze, knocking the office door.

The principal opened and sighed in relief "Oh finally. Miss (Y/L/N), this is Mister Moskowitz, he will show you around, you share classes, go on or you'll be late" 

You get up and grab your bag "I'm (Y/N), by the way, and you?" 

He avoids eye contact "Eli"

You smile at him but doubt he even saw it "I like your sweater, baggy sweaters are the best" 

His eyes widen as he looks at you for the first time, you notice how blue his eyes are, that and the small scar between his lip and nose "Really?" He notices how your eyes meet his scar, and he hides his mouth. 

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to stare, Eli. And I do like your sweater"

He blushed madly, no girl ever looked at him and didn't cringe or walked away "It's okay, a-and thank you" 

You sat beside him in all the classes, he even helped you on how to take your notes on every class. He was opening up slowly, a few days went on and you spent them getting to know Eli, Demetri and Miguel, things were going quite smoothly, all of them learning how to talk properly to a girl, Eli even spoke up more often, he seemed to slowly become more open, until he was harshly thrown against a locker by a guy, his head hitting the metal door with a loud bang.

"Is this loser messing with ya?" He winked at you.

"Get lost!" You pushed him away from Eli "Are you okay?" 

"C'mon, why are you losing your time with him?" 

You hold Eli's face between your hands "You're bleeding, come on, let's get you cleaned up, yeah?" 

You hold him by the wrist gently and lead him to your locker, taking the first aid kit out of your locker and placing it in his hands, taking what you needed. 

"W-why do you have this?" His soft eyes looked at your lips while you focused on his forehead.

"I'm really messy, I get hurt frequently" You look into his eyes and realize how much he's blushing "Are you going to the Halloween dance?"

"I don't know... Why?" 

"Well, I was thinking of going together, maybe even get matching costumes if you'd like it" 

His eyes lit up "You wanna go with me?" 

"Sure! What do you wanna go as?" 

"I-I was thinking of being a surgeon, a plastic surgeon, one that fixes lips... With a mask" 

"I can be a nurse, so we match... Too bad you're wearing a mask though" You place a band aid on his forehead. 

"W-why?" He looks down, caressing his now covered wound.

"Because then I can't do this" You kiss his cheek softly. He gasps and blushes deep red, smiling "But I'll wear one too then" 

"But..." You put the first aid kit back and close your locker humming to let him know he still has your attention. He kisses your cheek quickly and you blush. You giggle making him smile.

"It's a date then?" 

"Sure- a date- yeah! Maybe I can ask my mom to pick you up, I mean if you don't have other plans, we can-" You cover his mouth with your index finger.

"I don't have other plans, Eli, I'd love that" You giggle, and he smiles, your finger traces his scar and you smile at him. His cheeks are tinted a deep red, and he smiles softly "You have a pretty smile"

The bell rang, both of you pulling away from each other "So... I'll see you tonight?" He just nods and you take your bag "I'll text you later then" 

"Mom! How do I look?" You open your arms, showing off your nurse costume "Cool right?" 

"You look amazing, hun, I'll take a picture of you both" 

"I wanna meet the young man" Your dad comes into the kitchen too.

"No, dad, no-" You hear the doorbell "I'll get it!" You jog to the door and open, finding Eli in his doctor costume "You look great! I got the right color" 

"I-I got you candy" He hands you a bag filled with sweets making you blush and giggle.

"That's nice of you, you must be Eli, I'm (Y/N)'s dad" Your dad offers him a handshake "It's a pleasure, young man" 

Eli smiles at him "Nice to meet you both" 

"Let me take a picture, just one" Your mom takes her phone out.

"Just one, we have to go" You lead Eli and you both smile for the camera "Now with bunny ears" You pose, putting bunny ears on each other "Bye!" You pull Eli out with you "I'm so sorry for that"

"No, it's okay! They're nice" He smiles and opened the door for you "We're gonna have lots of fun" 

The night was great until Miguel got beat up and everything got ruined. You and Eli texted all weekend long, you even changed your profile picture to one with him smiling, he stuck to the one where you were wearing masks. The next Monday, Miguel was upset, all of you not sure of how to cheer him up.

"So that's it? No more karate?" Demetri started.

"I guess so" Said Miguel.

"That sucks. We couldn't even try it" You said.

"I think it's for the best, it was starting to boost your confidence" Demetri interjects.

"Dude!" You hit him with an eraser "Now give it back"

He groans but do as told.

"Isn't that a good thing?" Miguel asks.

"Yes" "No" You and Demetri say.

"What has confidence get us other than a black eye and a backpack being thrown in the trash?" 

"A date!" You hold Eli's hand and he smiles shyly.

"I thought it was kinda cool how you stood up to Kyler" Eli says in a low voice.

"Thank you!" You give his hand a little squeeze.

"Are you insane?! Let me ask you; what's the best superpower anyone could have?" 

"Super strength" You and Miguel answer and fist bump.

"Invisibility. A distant second would be super speed so you can run away fast.

"Run away from who?" Kyler holds the back of your chair and you push him off, making him chuckle and wink at you.

"Whom, remember english class" His friend corrects.

"We were just leaving" Miguel says and you try to walk away.

"Hey, where are you going? Look at this freak" Kyler held Eli's face harshly.

"Hey!" The fat guy blocks your way "Get off!" 

"Holy shit! What kind of girl would ever kiss this shit?" Kyler continues.

You kick the guy holding you in the crotch hard enough for him to step back "Me! I'd kiss him" You push Kyler's hands away.

"Leave them alone, Kyler" Miguel defends.

"You haven't had enough?" He pushes Miguel. 

"Come on, guys, they're not worth our time" You say angrily.

Eli holds your hand and you leave, you are insanely angry, groaning and frowning deeply. 

"(Y/N)?" Eli stops and your face softened as you look at him "Y-you'd actually kiss me?" He blushed deeply.

You blush harder, remembering what you said earlier but you didn't regret it, you saw his beautiful eyes, this time he didn't avoid eye contact. He caressed your knuckles with his thumb and looked at your lips "Yes... I would love to, Eli" you lean in, and he follows your lead "Would you kiss me?" 

He gives you a tiny smirk before kissing you softly, barely touching your lips, you pull him close, and he complies. 

"I've been meaning to ask..." He holds both if your hands now "Do you... I mean- Would you like to be my girlfriend?" 

"Of course" You kiss him again, this time, he holds your cheeks softly.

"Hey- Oh!" Miguel interrupts smirking, Demetri beside him just shocked.

You pull away, blushing madly "N-not a word" Says Eli.

"See, Demetri? Confidence gets you a girlfriend" You say proudly.

Brian Quinn hadn’t planned on having a date to the prom. After all, he and his three buddies had agreed to go together as a group. It would be easier that way and much less of a hassle. Besides, catholic school girls were another breed of girls that needed extra attention and care that Brian just wasn’t willing to deal with on the big night. Anything could happen at the dance.

And it did, because he found himself slow dancing with the prettiest girl he’d ever laid his eyes on. He couldn’t believe that idiot Tommy Sanders had stood up a girl who literally looked like a princess and playboy model all at once. Y/N was her name, and it was heavenly to his ears when spoken from her lips. He didn’t care if he looked like an idiot in love as he stumbled on the dance floor with her, all he cared about was the fact that she was happily in his arms, her head against his chest and a soft smile on her lips.

“I’m having a really great time,” she uttered softly, looking up at him with her y/e/c eyes and batting her lashes. His heart leapt in his throat at the sight.

“Me too,” he blushed. “Would you umm, would you maybe want to head back to my house? We could get pizza?”

“Sure,” she shrugged. Her smile was innocent but her eyes gleamed with excitement at the endless possibilities that awaited her at Brian Quinn’s house.

The prom seemed to continue at Brian’s house as the two danced away to Elvis Presley records and binged on pizza slices during dance breaks. The whole thing was pure, wholesome even, as he was perhaps one of the few guys who had no intention of getting laid on prom night. Instead, he focused on y/n’s smile and making sure it never left her face.

It was about midnight when they settled in front of the tv playing mario kart 64. The two had change out of their prom attire, y/n in a borrowed freddy krueger shirt and pair of boxer shorts. She had telephoned her mother to say she’d be staying at a “friends” house, but she didn’t dare say she was with a boy.

y/n was currently kicking quinn’s ass in mario kart, making him eat his earlier teasing about her character choice of princess peach.

“Holy shit, marry me,” he uttered in awe as she crossed the finish line with ease and earned the first place title.

“Sorry, I only marry winners,” she teased, falling back on the couch with giggles at his mock hurt expression.

“I better start practicing then,” he responded cooly, joining her on the couch and casually slinging an arm around her. His parents weren’t home, so the two could do whatever they pleased.

“You know, you’re like the coolest girl I’ve ever met,” Brian said suddenly, turning to look at her. God, she was so pretty in his shirt. He wasn’t a romantic or anything, but he swore his heart skipped a beat or two everything she flashed a smile his way. Is this that love shit everyone was always talking about? Because, in all honesty, it isn’t too bad.

“Yeah?” She mused with a smile.

“Yeah,” he nodded, suddenly growing nervous as he glanced down at her lips. “Can... Can I kiss you?”

She blushed, licked her lips anxiously and looked away before uttering a soft, “yes.”

He leaned in slowly, unsure, before gently pressing his lips against her own in an innocent, chaste kiss. Her lips tasted like strawberries and cream, and he began to kiss her like a starved man who hadn’t had a good meal in years. Just the same, she gripped onto the sleeves of his flannel for dear life and allowed him to do most of the work. She had little to no experience with kissing, but she must have been doing something right considering how passionately he kissed her.

The two separated only due to the fact they needed air to survive, otherwise they would have still been attached at the lips. Her lips were parted slightly, watching him catch his breath and stare at her with what could only be described as heart eyes.

“You... You wanna be my girl?” He breathed, and she nodded. And they kissed again.

HIDDEN FEELINGS - WARREN PEACE IMAGINE

“Again warren?” you said as you stood in front of him, seeing his bruised face and busted lip, “you really need to stop picking fights”

“Tch, you should have seen the other guy”, he said his voice still angered, “besides he had no right to make fun of you”

“I think he does, I mean I am in hero support, I think that puts me in the bottom of the social ladder, I’m bound to get picked on”, you said making him sit down on the steps of the school, to better examine his face. It wasn’t too bad, but still Warren usually got into fights without getting hurt in the process, so just seeing his face bruised, you knew that whoever he went up against put up a good fight.

“Still you’re my best friend, and no one picks on you”, he said bluntly, “besides I have to take care of my hero support, right?”

Your face heated up, just hearing him say that. You knew that he meant that he would take care of his friend, but that still didn’t stop your own heart from racing just thinking that maybe he liked you more than a friend, because you were head over heels for your best friend.

“At least your injuries aren’t that bad”, you said with a soft smile.

Your hands started to glow, an almost light green shade, as you pressed your hands to his skin. You could already feel the warmth of his skin, most likely a result of the fact that he creates and controls fire. You tucked the ebony locks out of his face, tucking it behind his ears to give you a clear look at the damage on his face. Your glowing hands cupped his face, your fingertips gently caressing his face. Soon the small topical injures began to disappear, the skin magically repairing itself, leaving behind unblemished skin in its place.

Warren leaned into your touch, feeling your hands tingle his face, an act that he was so used to, but still enjoyed very much. He just loved the feeling of your hands healing his face. Your thumb ran over his lips, feeling his warm plump lip, wondering what it felt like if you pressed your own lips against his. Would they feel hotter than a raging sun or warm like a fire on a cold winter evening?

You shook the thought out of your head, seeing that you were still holding his face like a fragile piece of glass, despite all his injuries being healed. The light green glow in your hands dimmed, till it was gone, but your hands still held his face, not wanting to let go, needing to hold it for just a bit longer.

“There, all healed”, you said finally removing your hands, already missing the warmth on your hands, and secretly warren did too.

“I still think you should be in the hero class, your gift is amazing”, he said his hands running over his face, everything completely gone; even the small dull pain was gone, almost if nothing was ever there.

“I just heal people, not much help in a battle, I can’t even heal myself, I’ll be a sitting duck out there”, you said taking a seat next to him.

You were proud of your power, seeing as how you could actually help others. Sure you may not be able to take down a monster or an evil genius, but you could help the injured, null the pain for others, you were going to help individuals, and that’s what a hero was supposed to do right?

But the moment you told coach boomer your power, he immediately assigned you to be a hero support, stating that a hero has to be able to fight, and unfortunately you weren’t able to. You were no better than a civilian and that’s not what heroes were made of. You felt slightly devastated, you thought that your gift would earn you hero status but when he stated it like that, he was right, what good was healing others when you couldn’t even heal yourself to keep fighting.

Warren being your best friend, instantly tried to cheer you up, but he was never good with emotions. But when he was going to attempt to cheer you up, he was called on stage for his assessment. You weakly smiled at him, knowing that he would easily get placed in hero class, and when his arms lit on fire, successfully shooting deadly flames, no other questions were asked, as coach boomer instantly placed him in hero classes.

Warren was bummed, but instantly cheered up when he realized that every hero needed a hero support. He cheered you up; telling you that at least this way, you both would still be together, he promised that he would find a way to make sure you were his assigned hero support when graduation came along. And that honestly had cheered you up instantly. And that thought alone made the things bearable, you were stuck learning how to be the best hero support you could be and him learning how to use his powers to the best of his abilities.

“Come on, we have to get to class”, you said taking his large warm hand and pulled to get him to stand up.

Warren just stayed in place, knowing that he could easily pull you down with him. He just smiled, seeing how you were so carefree around him; never looking at him with weary eyes, afraid of him like others were when they found out his father was one of the most infamous villains. However you just accepted him for him, not for his name.

“Why don’t we just ditch class”, he suggested, just wanting to spend time with you, since during school he rarely ever saw you, “it is our last class”.

“I can’t, I have an evaluation today, they want to see how my healing abilities progressing”, you said still attempting to get him up, even though you knew you were completely failing, but you wouldn’t give up.

“Fine, but only because I know how important those things are to you”, he said getting up, still holding your hand and refusing to let go.

The warm feeling in his hand travelled up your own. It was like a warm fire that made you want to lean into him, but kept yourself from doing so. You wanted to let go of his hand, but when you would try to gently pull your hand away, Warren’s hold on your hand tightened, not wanting to let you go at all. You looked up, seeing the calm look on his face, not knowing that your own heart was racing beneath your chest, your cheeks heating up making you look away.

You were at your class and Warren instantly letting go of your hand the moment that he noticed that people were looking at your intertwined hands. Your hand followed his the moment he let go, already missing the feeling of your hand in his, feeling the soothing heat that you had grew to love in that small moment. You stood by the doorway, not wanting to leave his side just yet, and maybe since he wasn’t saying goodbye either, he didn’t want to leave as well.

You looked through your lashes, seeing that Warren was smiling at you, a soft smile that you at times called your own, since you were one of the few people, or only person, he smiled to like that.

“Guess I better head inside”, you said not even making the attempt to go to class, just wanting to spend a few more minutes with him.

“Yea, make sure you amaze them, who knows this could be the day you get transferred to the hero class”, he said with a hopeful smile, small, but so full of hope.

“I doubt that, but thanks, make sure you don’t get into any more fights alright, promise me”, you said pointing at his face so he could know that you were serious about this.

“I’ll try, can’t promise anything”, he said letting out a sigh, “besides I don’t get hurt too bad, and I know that you can fix me right up”, he said flashing you a toothy grin.

Your hand cupped his cheek, just remembering those moments ago, there were bruises on his skin, “yea, but that doesn’t mean I like the idea of you getting hurt”, and you said examining his face.

Your eyes finally landed on his, seeing that they were wide, shocked by what you had just admitted. You wondered if what you said had upset him, he was usually not the best with emotions, and avoided anything that involved them. You quickly told him that you would meet him after class, seeing as how after this, you would all is dismissed for the day. You quickly ran into your class, just wanting to get rid of whatever tension was between you and him.

However if you had stay you would have noticed how Warren’s cheeks gained a pink tint to them, touching his cheeks where your fingers had just been, wishing you would hold his face like that more often.

It was finally after class, you had luckily impressed your teachers. You were getting better at your healing abilities, at the beginning being only to heal basic superficial wounds, but now you knew that you could handle serious injuries as well. You really were honing your abilities so well, that at times you surprised everyone else including yourself.

But despite your amazing improvement you still were not good enough to make it to hero class, seeing as how you weren’t the best in combat; you really were suited better for hero support, since you really weren’t able to defend yourself from other.

Your teacher dismissed your class, the room emptying as you waited for Warren, so you both could take the bus back home, but so far he had yet to arrive. He usually was there a few minutes after dismissal, sometimes he was even there before your class was dismissed. But looking at your clock, he was very late.

You stayed put, telling yourself that he was he was going to show up soon. But nothing. You let out a sigh, knowing that maybe he was already at the school bus. you didn’t want to miss the bus and have to wait for another to arrive, so better get there with or without Warren. Maybe Warren really was upset at what you told him earlier. You don’t know why he would, but Warren was Warren, he never really needed a reason for anything, because just like fire, it was spontaneous and would just need a spark to be lit and that would be reason enough for him.

You were walking down the hallways, to leave something in your locker when you heard something slam into the lockers around the corner. You were startled, not prepared for that. You wanted to go and see, but you really needed to catch your bus.

“So Warren when are you going to go villain like your father”, you heard a male voice shout.

Your ears instantly shot up when you heard the name that was mentioned. You quickly shut your locker, running to where all the commotion was. There lying against the locker was a very angry looking Warren staring down at the stripe wearing Lash and Speed. You could see the fire in his eyes, he was mad, and you weren’t sure that even you could calm him down. The spark had been lit.

His father was a sensitive subject, practically growing up without him, since he had been locked up for being a notorious villain, and he would never let anyone speak badly of him. Even you walked on eggshells when it came to his father.

“Who knows he may start soon, I can already see that the first person he would hurt would be (Y/N), sweet little thing too”, Lash said with a sarcastic voice.

“I know, it’s a shame, I don’t understand why such a nice girl would ever hang around someone like him. They are literally opposites, she heals and you destroy”, speed added, “but maybe that’s your grand plan, earn her trust and crush her, that would make sense just look at your father and your mother”, he said with a smile.

“Leave (Y/N) out of this”, he said the fire in his eyes intensifying, seeing small flames in the tips on his fingers growing.

“Did we strike a nerve?” Speed said seeing that Warren was really heating up.

“Don’t tell me you really like her, and here I thought that the great Warren Peace wouldn’t be capable to love anyone but himself”, Lash said with a mocking tone.

“But too bad she won’t ever like you, she’s just your friend because she feels sorry for you, she’s just too good of a person to treat you badly. She wouldn’t be able to love someone like you”, Speed added, “no one can”

You were shocked, did Warren really like you? no they were just joking that was most likely why Warren was getting so mad to begin with, teasing him for something that isn’t true. But still it made your chest constrict seeing his face slightly shift to show that there words had an effect on him, the rage momentarily replaced with loneliness, and back to rage. You were about to run out to help him, when you saw Warren shoot fire at them both. He managed to scare them when his body was almost covered in flames. You had never seen him this angry, he was usually annoyed but never this mad. He was a different Warren right now then the kind one that made your heart flutter. You would be lying if it didn’t slightly scare you.

Speed took most of the initial hit quickly running away, leaving Lash. Lash in his defense was able to punch him in the face, but not enough to even cause Warren any damage. Warren was still pissed, lifting Lash by his shirt, scared of what was going to happen next.  

You could tell that Warren was losing control, letting his hotheadedness get the better of him. If any of the faculty would see him, he would be sure to be expelled regardless if Lash and Speed started this. You couldn’t let him get in trouble for this.

“Warren let him go!” you called out.

Warren faced to look at you, the anger once in his chocolate colored eyes replaced with regret. He wanted to be your hero, wanting you to see the good in him, but right now he seemed more like his father than anything else. He instantly let his grip go, walking away in a quick pace, knowing that you would finally look at him like the way everyone else does. He feared you would see him like a future villain, someone who he never wanted to be…at least to you.

Lash was rubbing his neck, “yea you better run! You’re lucky your girlfriend saved you”, he said trying to make it seem like he wasn’t losing at all.

You walked up to him, your own anger boiling. He turned to look at you, with a snide smirk, knowing that he had emotionally hurt Warren. He was about to speak, when you pulled back your hand, and punched him straight in the nose. If there’s one thing that hero support had taught you all these years, it was knowing how to throw a proper punch.

Lash instantly held his nose, as he hissed in pain, “that’s for Warren, and I suggest you leave before I heal your nose, only to break it again!” you said angry that he had hurt your best friend.

He quickly scurried away, as you went to chase Warren, seeing press his forehead against his locker, a dent in the metal and slightly singed as well. You carefully walked over to him; his shoulders were slump with disappointment.

You placed your hand on his shoulder, making him instantly push it off, almost as if your touch had burned him. You pulled your hand back, your face showing the pain of his rejection. You could see that his hand was red, most likely from hitting the locker. Your hands already glowing blue, reached out to touch his wound.

Warren at least didn’t push you away this time, letting you heal him, but the moment it was healed, he pulled his hand back, not wanting you to hold him any longer.

“Warren talk to me, I can’t help you if you won’t tell me what’s wrong”, you said as you tried to coax him to talk.

“Why do you care so much, their right, I’m bound to be a villain”, he said with defeated voice, “I’m not good for you”, he finished.

You cupped his face, tucking his black locks behind his ears. Warren leaned into your touch, seeking a gentle touch, something he never thought he would ever receive, but greatly craved.

“You’re not a villain Warren; you’re just misunderstood that’s all.  I care because you’re my best friend; you were always there for me. You’ve never given me a reason to hate you at all, in fact you’ve only given me reasons to love you”, you admitted to him.

“You love me?” he said as his eyes widened at hearing your confession.

Your cheeks were heated, as you looked away, still feeling his gaze on you. His hand placed itself over yours, holding it in place, as his other cupped lifted your face, making you gaze back at him.

“Yea, I do, I love you Warren, I know you may not feel the same, but I don’t care, I love you”, you said finding a bit of courage to tell I’m of your feelings.

In a moment, Warren closed the space between you and him, letting your lips meet. You could feel the warmth of his lips; they definitely felt like a warm fire that was slowly growing. You melted in the kiss, letting his lips coax your own to move against his. His hand snaked around your waist, pulling you tighter to his tall form. Your hands held his face closer, feeling your body heat from being so close to him. You could feel the fire beneath his skin, making your own skin burn with delight. Your lungs were starting to burn too, but not from his kisses, but rather lack of oxygen. Slowly you broke up the kiss, his warm forehead leaning on yours, his lips following yours, not wanting to stop kissing you.

“I love you too (Y/N)”, he said feeling his hot breath fan your face.

You looked into his eyes, wanting to see if he was lying to you, but you found nothing but admirations and love in his eyes, all of that for you. You smiled as you leaned to kiss him once again. This time enjoying the kiss, as your hands buried themselves in his black tresses that were softer than they appeared. You smiled into the kiss, glad that Warren returned your feelings that he was just as in love with you as you were with him. His hands trailed your body, leaving behind a trail that felt like lava on your skin, he was losing the control he normally had.

You knew that you had to stop before either of you got too carried away. You broke the kiss, instantly seeing his red swollen lips, with a soft smile on them. You knew that your own lips were swollen, feeling them still tingle from kissing his hot lips. But none of that mattered because right now, your best friend was yours, and you were his.
