Three sentences Chara had heard so many times that they had lost any possible meaning they could have.
They knew they were safe, there wasn’t a thing wrong, and she was making them nervous. Three answers they would be able to spit out just as easy as a snarling bulldog. The worst part of seeing your family so many times destroyed, crying over their lost children and telling them you were not their Chara, was losing any possible empathy you could have for them, not feeling a thing when you see them crying, screaming or even when they lost consciousness due to the shock.
This time was… no different.
And that brought a nauseous twist to their face, hating themself so much they could just finish their life in this instant and bring a reset so they could avoid this encounter.
They… loved Toriel, that was undoubtedly a fact; however, it always made the anxious to met one that was not theirs because of all the possible scenarios.
As they always say: “Worst case scenario, Toriel will be on the throne and will loose her shit to seeing me”.
However, seemed like this time was a bit different. This Toriel did not seem… anxious, happy or sad due to them. She acted totally… fine. Maybe this time would be different?
*Mmn… you’re not… freaking out?
“I apologize, but I do not know what would I be freaking out about right now. Though do you happen to need anything? You would seem rather nervous little one.”
While this child did seem oddly familiar she didn’t see a reason to freak out over anything of this child. Perhaps they think she would freak out merely because the child was a human, but who could blame them. She couldn’t see anything else that would seem to be something to freak out about, but it was clear she felt a small bit guilty for being unable to find out just what the child meant. Though she quickly gave the child another smile. She didn’t wish for the child to get anymore nervous than they already were.
