#wonbin#riize#he had such a beachy surfer look#like I can see him playing a surfer in a romcom set in like California or Hawaii#lost and confused tourist bumps into born and raised local Wonbin on the beach#at first she thinks heโs just a cocky surfer boy because he wins competitions#but I donโt know then she sees him volunteering at a local shelter taking care of kids or animals and being kind to old people or something#and one early morning she sees him on the beach about to head out for a sunrise surf#and somehow the conversation leads to him inviting her out with him#maybe he actually works out the resort in Hawaii where sheโs visiting and heโs like the lifeguard or something#and he trades in his surf board for a paddle board and he takes her out on that#they sit together out in the water and watch the sunrise grow over the water and the warm glowing kiss of it meet the land#and they talk and she really realizes she kinda likes him#cue the romcom montage of him showing her to local shops and restaurants and taking her snorkeling in the good spots and teaching her to#surf and thereโs a big storm or a near miss with a shark that cements their connection through a moment of fear that melts away anything#holding them apart and then theyโre properly together and in love and when the end of her visit comes neither of them want her to leave but#she has a life back home and work and responsibilities that she canโt just abandon because she fell in love with the beach boy so she leaves#she boards the red eye flight home. cut to him sitting on the beach watching the sunrise without her when suddenly someone sits down beside#him. itโs her! she got off the plane and tells him sheโs extending her visit. not indefinitely but just a little. she wants him to come see#her home. she wants to try a long distance thing for a little bit maybe they can see if this will work between them and then sheโll uproot#herself and move here because she loves him and she loves it here too

I'm very tired of this "queer college students should stop supporting Palestine, they'd kill you there!" I watched a hijabi ask a trans man, "but what name do you want to go by?" A butch giving a woman their hoodie so that she could keep her hair covered after the cops took her scarf. Muslim girls making sure the lesbian couple got through the system together. Religious men making sure green haired protestors got out safe. A Palestinian girl with an ex-southern baptist fiance, who definitely isn't a practicing Muslim, whose parents were raising hell for her. I don't want to hear it. Solidarity forever, free Palestine.

Thank you!! I had a whole lot of fun writing that one! I thought it was really funny while I was watching the Met Gala this year because there were so many amazing floral looks and thatโs pretty similar to the theme I made for the gala in the fic ๐
Between me going on family vacation and NCT Dream announcing North American tour dates, Iโm gonna be working like 4 days in September ๐
#like I saw earlier they announced dates#I just got home from work and Iโm plotting on how I can go see them in Chicago#my mom was like โand who is this??โ likeโฆ. we saw them last year together mother#and she was like โoh NCT?โ and I said โdreamโ and she thought that was the name of their tour so she thought I wanted to get tickets to see#the exact same show again like lmfao no#theyโve released like 2 albums since then itโs gonna be a whole lot new#and this time Iโm hoping to recruit her best friend into helping me get tickets because sheโs amazing with concert tickets#and I need better seats than I had for tds2#because although I was beyond happy to just be thereโฆ. the seats were shitty#Iโm also stil convinced (and I was thinking abt this the other day) that the two women a couple rows in front of me were staff members#because why else would you be on your phone the whole concert#like both of them were on their phones like most of the time

A lot of the planning is done virtually. Comments on designs, his measurements, scheduling and planning for when exactly he will arrive in New York in advance. You speak with Johnny and his team a couple times over video call, but the first time you actually meet him in person is only two days before the momentous event.
โAre you nervous?โ Johnny asks with an easy grin after the greetings and introductions are made. โItโs your first Met Gala, right?โ
It is.
You were surprised to score the invitation, to be acknowledged in any way by Anna Wintour, to be offered the opportunity to not only walk the carpet and attend the event but to have your designs on display for the world to love or hate.
โIโm a bit nervous,โ you admit to Johnny.
He laughs. โIโm a seasoned pro now,โ he jokes. โThis is my second year, so I can hold your hand through it all.โ
