It’s 2015, you open your game and are greeted by a bright ass white loading screen, you go into one of the two neighborhoods and create a sim with clayifed hair, mayberrie’s blush, all your furniture is in the eversims ever so lovely palette and is barely maxis match, sims with elf ears as far as the eye can see, it’s clear skies and sunny because of an eternal summer- weather doesn’t exist, you put your screenshots on a PSD that makes it so saturated you feel like you’re about the blow your eyeballs out and start all over— simpler times.

FYI: CC hairs updated to the new swatches will mess with genetics if not properly tagged

Genetics in The Sims 4 are incredibly primitive but the offspring’s hair color depends on the color tags of the hair swatches that the parents have. With the 6 new swatches there were 6 new color tags introduced. As of writing this post, Sims 4 Studio isn’t updated yet and you can’t actually select these new tags when adding the new swatches. I don’t think there’s a workaround, so if you care about genetics you gotta wait for the Studio to update.

Hi.  Yesterday I received a report from another person that Sim was gone, so I downloaded and checked the sneakers from the upload file just in case, but I can use it in my game without problems. The file itself may be fine. Sorry, I don’t know the cause.  ( By the way, my PC is old, so I don’t use the crashing script MOD. )  If you find a problem that can be fixed, fix it.

こんにちは。昨日、別の方からSimが消える報告を受けたので、念のためアップロードファイルからスニーカーをダウンロードして確認しましたが、私のゲームでは問題なく使用できています。 ファイル自体に問題はない可能性があります。申し訳ありません、原因がわかりません。（ちなみに、私のPCは古いため、クラッシュするスクリプトMODは使用してません。） 修正できる問題を発見した場合は、修正します。

Hey @liliili-sims, I found a fix in the s4studio forums!

I deleted the normal and specular map from the sneakers, and re-imported the .dds shadow map from the original sneakers (EA) 

It worked for me, so I hope it helps!

i love reshade a whole bunch, and the shots people take using it are just *chefs kiss*, but i will Always love the minimal, smooth, bright, and vibrant shots everyone took before reshade became a staple of the simblr community

and idk sometimes it feels like, ever since reshade became a popular tool for us to use, a lot of us feel super compelled to have a pretty preset, or a pleasing aesthetic, when posting our gameplays or our stories, to the point where people feel like they have to apologize for their editing or aesthetic being all over the place and!!! that stinks!!! this is a hobby and it shouldn’t have to feel like work

THIS I hate when playing starts feeling like a chore, and that's exactly what happens when you post a lot of gameplay :'( I end up not playing those saves anymore because I feel I have to screenshot everything and it stops being fun :(
