Theres an account on Instagram called starker_uwu thats taking everyone's art and uploading it :/ its crediting the accounts but its got art on there people have asked not to be uploaded or taken :/

That really sucks anon, I’m not into the insta community so I don’t really know how it works over there like is there no way or reporting it? Or maybe if they’ve posted your art without permission to message them and get them to take it down? It could be an honest mistake or some people just have no regard for other peoples boundaries in which case fuck them

I just checked out the Instagram and they’ve reposted art from multiple people such as @c6h12o6-work​ @starkeristheendgame​ @peachbabypie​ 

I tried to report the account for stealing art but I don’t really see a way to do that. You can only report an account/post for being spam or for being inappropriate. If anyone has any advice on what to do here it would be greatly appreciated. It’s never cool to steal other people’s art without permission even if you are crediting them 

Update: I see now that you can report individual posts under inappropriate and then intellectual property violation. But you have to go through Instagram’s Help Center and it has to be coming from the person who made the art. 

@peachbabypie @starkeristheendgame @c6h12o6-work if u guys have insta maybe you could do what Van said and report it? sorry ur work is getting stolen

Hey repost because I just woke up when I saw this and reblogged without context (please make sure you are awake before dealing with serious business)

I cannot say for sure about other artists who has work being posted on the starker insta account. But I for a fact had given permission to them (very early on) in my Starker walk of life for them to post to this Instagram account, as long as they credited me. Which it seems like they did.

I cannot say on behalf of the other artists whose work has been posted, especially since this is a very small community. But I just want everyone to know that this particular account owner HAS reached out to me before asking if they can repost my work, and I HAD given permission.

Thank you everyone who is on the lookout for this! I myself had a wtf moment and then remembered that the account name looked familiar. Thank you so much for tagging me so I actually saw this too! Art theft is not cool kids! But art theft this case, t’was not ;)

Edit: however taking a look they seem to have posted a whole lot more than just a couple of artists which is highly suspect. Please let me know if I can do anything specific to help.

I would also like to say that I also do not mind if they reposted my art! They given me credits in their description and I'm fine enough with just that! I had given permission to a lot of others in the past to repost my art as long as there's credit to me.

Also, I had commented a post stating to them that while I might be fine the other artists and their works being reposted might not and to take consideration for their work. They have responded that they will think about what they post from now on. (I haven't yet replied back due to waking up.)

Most of what Peachy said is basically what I also agree with.

Thank you @vanillapeter and @drarryismyshit07 and everyone else for reaching out about this and looking out for us! 🧡 Again, I cannot speak up for how the other artists and their works but I, myself, am fine with them reposting my art as long as credit is there!

Another thing I would also like to add is if you guys attempt to message/make contact with this person is to be kind and respond calmly to them, please. In the end this is still a person and I'm sure they don't do this to disrespect or hate creators (in pretty much all their post they have credited and said which platform said artist posted at.) Unless the creator doesn't approve, try to calmly reach out and ask if they could remove said work.
