Luca is pretty queer coded even when it didn’t mean to be.

I mean come on Luca imaging himself trying to literally come out of the water, in his imagination we see what appears to be the silhouette of none other than Alberto whom he never actually seen before.

we can see he dreams to see this stranger or at least learn more about what the above is like.

When he dreams of being free on the Vespa the 2nd time Alberto is there right beside him

 and through out the entire film whenever Luca says about doing something or going somewhere he never says about doing it by himself or with anyone else besides Alberto. Even when they fought at the heart of it all he’s always has the spot in him to think of Alberto and in turn Alberto was always having the spot in his heart thinking about Luca. Even when they fought Alberto thought he wasn’t good enough for Luca not that he hated Luca; Also come on

Tell me this is not the look of a very horribly gay dork.

Take these thoughts with you kind stranger and before you argue “Why you gotta be sexual with kids.” Being gay isn’t sexual don’t be close minded while the film never meant to be gay it doesn’t mean that it didn’t end up becoming a message about coming out whilst also sorta being a summer romance.

Go watch Soul because we’re not caricatures or flat, one-note black stereotypes.

Go watch Soul because it actually has an important message on one’s passion and purpose in life that I refuse to spoil here.

Go watch Soul because the trailers DON’T actually give away the plot and the movie’s genuinely better the trailers.

Go watch Soul because you bet your ass corporate’s gonna blame low numbers on the film having vast majority black characters and try to stop this kinda movie from ever happening again.

Go watch Soul because judging the entirety of a movie before it even airs based on the freakin’ trailer (which is hardly ever actually put together by the creators of the film itself and is more tied to the marketing department) instead of the actual film itself is an incredibly ignorant thing to do.

Go watch Soul and form your own opinion instead of jumping on a woke bandwagon.
