ive had a lot of people asking what an “asian aesthetic” is, and theres a very simple answer to that! it simply does not exist. it is a fetishized white interpretation of (east) asian culture. 

examples of this include: using japanese text as decoration for your blog, saying you want to be korean, and just generally using a very stereotypical idea of what “asian” culture looks like as an aesthetic.

this isnt to say one cant appreciate asian culture, but sometimes it is very obvious that someone is just taking certain elements that fits their anime view of asia
