In your Zack Lives AU who initiates their first kiss. They both seem kinda shy about that kinda stuff.

its complicated! I see Zack as very open and easy going about platonic displays of affection, or ones he views as platonic on his own scale, so he's very good at initiating cheek/forehead/nose kisses and hugs and cuddling

cloud struggles to display or initiate affection physically, but he wants it very badly. so I think for a while he'd be waiting around for Zack to do more, until he recognizes that Zack is.. also very shy and struggles to display anything outside of his platonic comfort zone hehe. I think Cloud would go to aerith for advice

and after that I think Cloud learns to be very blunt/direct, but generally still leaves it up to zack to actually follow through hehe. so it's very very mutual

when zack initiates all on his own i think he always asks at least three times before (slight exaggeration) (He just makes sure it's 100% okay before he does anything)

and when Cloud initiates all on his own it's very sudden because he has to do it before he loses the nerve
