“It feels so bittersweet. This competition was never easy to begin with and I can’t believe how much this whole experience has changed me. I mean I still feel like me, but also different.”

The Last Date

A/N: It’s ten o clock where I am, and I finally finished Holly’s last fic. This has been a really fun/crazy/dramatic experience, and I’m so glad Livi and Alex made it all possible! Thanks to @ladyalizemabo and @ashtonschreave for the rps, and enjoy Holly’s last submission :)

The final four. It’s finally here.

I was lying on my bed, eyes closed, simply resting for a little while after lunch. Just yesterday the Selected had been cut down to Alizé, Yanely, Piper and myself, sending Gracebella and Roxana home. Although Winter had been eliminated, what with her relationship reveal at the family ball, being with Cody had secured her place at the palace. What had shocked me the most was the fact that Gracebella was sent home, of all people. I wished her well though, hearing rumors that she hadn’t had the best past before coming to the palace. Every one of these girls deserved the best future they possibly could, Gracebella included.

Soon, Ashton would pick his wife and future queen after we each had one last date with him. I was nervous, of course, but also strangely calm. Like I was ready for whatever could happen.

Grashton

It is not Grashton, we went over this in the women’s room. Ashella is much better.

Yanely + Ashton= Ashely Piper + Ashton= Pipton me + Ashton= Ashella Roxana + Ashton= Ashana Holly + Ashton= Hoton Alizé + Ashton= Ashtozé

Pipton sounds so weird tho…I liked Holly’s proposition better: Asher.

I agree ;)

A/N: So this was a ton of fun to write, it was cool to explore some characters other than Holly. I also made a little collage of Holly’s family, it helped me get a better mental image of them, so it might help you too as you read (if you choose to, it’s pretty long lol). Thanks to @winter-havilliard @lady-cornemuseur-prinz and @gracebella-sinclair for letting me include their characters! :)

“HOOOLLLYYY!” a voice screamed behind me as I walked down a hallway in the palace, headed towards the Women’s Room after my conversation with Antoine. I turned only to have a body slam into me and wrap their arms around me. As I got over my initial shock at almost being knocked over, I looked down to see long blonde hair that I recognized instantly.

“Paisley!” I exclaimed with a laugh, eagerly hugging her back. She pulled back after a few moments, still holding on tightly to me, and I looked into her pale blue eyes, happy to see my little sister again. Her grin was bright as she smiled at me, and I couldn’t help but notice how much she had grown in the few months I’d been gone.

“Paisley Mia Borelli!” I heard a deep voice bellow and I knew who it was immediately. I could recognize that Italian accent anywhere.

Before the Families: Lady Holly Gwen

A/N: I was going to include these two scenes with my challenge fic, but they’re not really relevant, and it would have been way too long. Just some fun conversations! Hope you enjoy, and thanks to @ashtonschreave @antoinemabo and @yanely-genovious for the roleplays!

“And I have here in my hand, plane tickets for all of your families to come to the palace. Welcome to family week,” Ashton said, holding up a stack of tickets with a grin on his face. Many of the girls clapped their hands with glee, excited for the upcoming week. I felt a smile cross my lips, my heart bursting with joy knowing that I would finally get to see the people I had missed so much.

I noticed Ashton slip quietly out of the room, leaving us to talk amongst ourselves. We hadn’t spoken since my confession to him, and I thought that I would be sent home in the last elimination, believing my words had scared him off. But I was still here, wondering what was going on in that complicated heart of his. So I decided to follow him and see what little piece I could find out from him about my future at the palace. I knew I wouldn’t be able to gain much from him, but it was worth a shot.

Challenge #4

thank you so much to everyone who contributed to this: @thenewsomelibrary @ladyhollygwen @scarlettviliana , couldn’t have done it without you!

I was utterly, completely stuck. I had been brainstorming for days, trying to come up with anything. Nothing popped into my mind. And this time we were on our own. I had to be able to do this.

I tried everything: talking to the Seven and Eight children, asking the other Selected if they had any ideas how to help me get an idea, I even tried to do a cookie eating contest with Holly (that one was mostly fun and it turned out both of us could do impressive accents with cookies stuffed in our mouths).

I had finally got a half-decent idea after those cookies (food usually helped a lot for my mind) and hurried to my room. I had the worst memory possible, so I rummaged around for a pen. I had no time at all; the deadline was coming in a couple days, so I quickly grabbed an eyeliner and messily scribbled down something half-decipherable on my forearm. I pulled down my sleeve (thank God I was wearing longer sleeves) and hoped no one would notice the sloppy black ink. I shrugged on a large trench coat to cover my dress and donned a pair of sunglasses before heading out.

The other girls were all busy, probably with the newest challenge. Some girls were waiting in the hallway for their turn with the Queen. I had first went to Liz to ask for advice: she had simply told me to do whatever I thought was meaningful; after all, this was supposed to also be revealing what the role of Queen meant to us. Holly had also advised to pick what was dear to me, but that was a little difficult. I mostly kept things at a distance, not quite wanting to get associated with things. The closest thing I had to my heart was probably my cat Tigress back home, and we were supposed to do something for the people of Illea, not the animals.

I snuck out of the palace without anyone noticing. By the time I reached my destination, it was late afternoon and time was running out. I went in, took the elevator, and went up several floors. The doors opened with a cheerful ding! and I looked around in wonder at a white room of scientists, doctors, nurses, and more; all scurrying around and helping. I immediately picked out someone from the entire midst of the group, standing in a white lab coat with her white heels, red lipstick, and unmistakably impeccable blonde hair.

Selection OC Network challenge #4

A/N: I had nearly no time for this, so I apologize for any spelling/grammar mistakes and that this isn’t as good. Also a huge part of it isn’t even related to the challenge… oh wow. But thanks @eadlynmydear for roleplaying the convo with Holly. You can still read Liz’s whole story here, but it isn’t necessary for this challenge, for a change.

“This week, I expect you to develop a programme that will help to improve Illéa”, Ashton announced on Monday. “You will have to give a presentation on your plans at the end of the week. Include how your project will be realised and what motivated you to do it.”

I started thinking. It was a possibility to just continue Avalon’s and my project with the Angeles children, but that felt like cheating considering I was already planning on doing it as long as my stay here would last. I was still visiting the children every second day, and Avalon did, too. In addition to that, this project had to be more general – it had to help people all over Illéa. And as far as I had understood, we didn’t need to realise it this week – just present the idea and its opportunities.

Lady Holly Borelli’s Program for the Women of Illéa

She’s gone, Paisley. Another friend eliminated.

I wrote to my sister, reflecting on what had been announced this morning that still surprised me. Anjana, my newest friend in the competition, had been one of the girls asked to leave and I couldn’t help but feel like another piece of me left with her.

“Alright ladies, go on and do your best! I’ll be checking up on you every once in a while to make sure everything is going well.” Gracebella told the small group of ten from her place in the Women’s Room where Team Germany had all gathered. She had taken it upon herself to take charge of our group for the next challenge, which made sense, of course: Gracebella had always struck Holly as the type of girl who was a determined leader.

“Holly?” a voice said behind her, as soon as Gracebella dismissed us. She turnEd to see Roxana, one of the girls put it in her subgroup; Gracabella thought it would be easier to tackle the subject if the ladies were divided in smaller groups of three or four.
