Today is a big day on the Spanish internet. Valentine's day in Spanish is "día de San Valentín", which sounds almost the same as "Sam va lentín", which is how, in some parts of Spain , you would say "Sam goes slowly".

Hence, since a few years ago, every February 14th, the Spanish internet is full of "wait for me mr. Frodo" style memes. One of our holiest days of the year.

it’s the pjo season finale tonight and i just wanna say i’m so grateful for this show and how it’s given me a chance to feel like i’m 10 years old again every tuesday at 8pm. to watch my favorite story of all time play out in front of my eyes and feel just as giddy as i did experiencing the books for the first time 10 years ago. it’s not everyday you get to relive how it felt to experience your favorite piece of media for the first time. it’s so so special and i’m so grateful <3

i LOVE the way aragorn is like everyone's friend. he's like the popular hot girl whos nice to everyone and you kind of wonder if maybe it's fake but then she offhandedly mentions some detail about you that she remembered or asks how your mom is doing and you can tell she really means it and cares about the answer. and she volunteers as a tutor after school also.

frodo is so good. he needs to do this thing, this massive fucking thing, the fate of everyone rests on his shoulders. he's a little guy that has to save a big world. and after he does, he just wants to go home. to the shire. but bilbo. god bilbo. bilbo experiences the world and its forests and mountains and lakes and rivers and comes back to the shire feeling hollow and displaced. because somewhere down the line, he's really internalized the fact they're Going Back Home, him and the dwarves. the dwarves that he loved so dearly that their home became his. loved them so much that all he wanted to do after returning is go back. and fifty years later, he still longs to see The Mountain. his home. the hobbit that left the shire and clawed his way back vs the hobbit that returned to the shire but left his heart in the east. do you hear what im saying
