Since the conception of the Las Vegas GP, sport has always been in the background. Basically, this race is only an excuse for a party. They forced another street circuit just to make the drivers race around tourist attractions. And like the drivers, in the opening ceremony, looked like a zoo attraction for an audience hungry for fun. It was painful to see.

The event, in its current form, is a huge waste of time. A purely marketing campaign that ignores any sporting factor, something that could be bad for Formula 1 in the long run.

Anyways, we are back to one more circus (always centered around the American GPs). It's basically the spectacularization of an event that was supposed to be ordinary.

p.s.¹ I love what Max is doing because I think that someone with a big name in this sport needs to speak out about what Liberty Media is doing to F1. I like that he is honest about what's happening. He just wants to drive his car without all this pr bullshit. He focuses on racing, not being a celebrity.

p.s.² here I am praising Max Verstappen again. Am I becoming a fan of his? Idk, but I admire his courage to say some things.

p.s.³ guys, it's just my opinion. I don't want to offend anyone that is enjoying it.

I have always said publicly and privately, to Chris, that if I’m available and you want me to be in a movie, I’m there. I don’t really care about the size of the part. But deep down, secretly, I was desperate to play a lead for him. We have this long-standing understanding and trust and shorthand and respect. He’s had a profound impact on my life, creatively and professionally. He’s offered me very interesting roles over and I’ve found all of them really challenging. And I just love being on his sets. It’s an event every time he releases a film, and rightly so. Whether I’m in them or not, I always go to see his movies. — Cillian Murphy on working with Christopher Nolan.
If I could cast Cillian in every film I ever do, and just lean on him for the rest of my career, I’d be a happy man. — Christopher Nolan on working with Cillian Murphy.
