Something must be wrong with me, I haven't talked about the beadnet dress in forever.
It consists of seven thousand faience beads in blue green and blue to imitate turquoise and lapis lazuli. It is 4600 years old (the threading is modern, but the beads were found in their original pattern so this reconstruction is as accurate as it can be). It is one of the most gorgeous garments in existence and was owned by a woman who was a contemporary of king Khufu.
The dress was found in her tomb in Giza, known as Tomb G 7440 Z, and it's the earliest known garment of this type.

The Teensy’s and I have arrived in Los Angeles safely for Gallifrey One, 2019. We are on a couple of panels, and will have many pictures. Hopefully. More to come.
Me: Nothing to see here, just us getting photobombed by Peter Capaldi...
Me: Kind of coming into the home stretch on the last day, at least for us. We got a few good shots, and went to the human-actor’s panel. The Teensies even got their own seat!
No commentary because I’m too tired and having feels, and the Teensies are asleep.

Me: So that was quite the day...
Bill: I won the bet, yah?
4.0: Yes, yes. But not by much!
Me: Not only did we get the selfie with Pearl Mackie, she shook both their hands, and loved meeting them. And 4.0 finally met his human-actor properly!
4.0: He ruffled my hair!
Me: And shook your hand...
4.0: He ruffled my hair.
Bill: *giggles*
Me: On balance, I think that went quite well.
Me: We finally made it to the Con. Didn’t stay long yet, because we wanted to drop some things off at the hotel.
Bill: I saw my actor!
Me: And we’re gonna get a selfie with her, probably.
4.0: Saw the human-actor again. She’s going for everything this time around...
Me: But first, some cosplay--Sherlock and Eleventh Doctor.
Me; The con doesn’t start until four PM tonight local time, so we have a few hours before we need to start worrying about anything. I decided to take these photos out the hotel room window.
4.0: Will we see the human-actors today?
Me: We should! Pearl has a Q&A tonight, and we’re going to that! And maybe a selfie with her for TeensyBill.
Bill: I get to meet my human-actor?!
Me: I spoil my Teensies so much. 4.0: I prefer the word “well-loved.” Bill: *is asleep*
Me: We all made it safely to Austin, where the floofheads wasted no time in settling in. Teensies, that is my bed.
4.0: Nope.
Me: Then where am I supposed to sleep?
4.0: There’s a pull out bed!
Me: How about I make the pullout bed for you?
4.0: *sighs*. Acceptable.
Bill: *giggles*
Me: This is the band that will be playing Wizard World, where we’re going. I was supposed to be their seat mate which would have been really cool. But my seat was stolen.
4.0: By their guitar!!
Teensy and I finally got out of the house to a local Comic Con. He met a lit of cosplayers, and got pictures with them. Anakin Skywalker:
