` 최⁹¹ . “ What? “ he asked as he stared at Ji Dwi, his proud smile, from his supposed ‘genius’ plan to break into the district to help retrieve the the stolen goods they were ordered to get, fading, feeling a little stupid, but only for a brief moment before his hard-headedness got to him first. “ Yah, it’s a good idea to do it now while we know the schedule of the guards outside the palace! We’re not allowed to walk around at night because we’ll seem suspicious- So, this is the only way we know! We should do it while we’re able to! “ he explained again, reasoning with the other as best he could, his hands on his hips as he started to become a little cross with the way Ji Dwi was looking at him right now; but then again .. he always looked like that.

More often than not, it takes him some time into taking safety measures for a mission like this one. Once he’s found out it will be the end of him except no one knows under what circumstances is he fret of. Nevertheless, no one can probably tell when his face barely holds any expression no matter how long have they been sharing the same room for. Suho is known for his valiant and lacking hesitance in anything he does, surely he has any plans to escape if things would go wrong but let’s hope that nothing will. From the look he’s giving Ji Dwi can’t seem to debate much since he didn’t come up with any proposal as of yet.

Wouldn’t we get caught breaking in, in broad daylight?” His arms crossed, all ready to finally speak his mind when they should already laid out finalized scheme to execute. “Shall we go in just the two of us instead of getting anyone else involved inside too? If anything, I’m sure we’re the only ones gambling our lives here and others won’t be, they can wait outside until the coast is clear and affirmed that the guards’ schedule isn’t a bait.

“Jungah-ssi.” Pleased upon gaining her trust from the introduction, it seems that his cheeks are going to hurt from smiling too much. He can’t help but to notice how polite she is, humble, and soft-spoken as well. Even when she allows the interruption, it made him feel bad that they barely have the time to take the conversation further.
His secretary often being the one to call him, reminding his schedule and anything related with work unless he’s already in his office. Another grin takes place when he looked her way, accidentally meeting her eyes at that particular second in the midst of the conversation. Though he didn’t find it unpleasant, it’d be better if she could join him for breakfast but he couldn’t find the chance to ask her now that she had left.
Would he appear bossy if he were to call her over? Or is it even appropriate to disturb her while she’s in the middle of working hour? Minhyuk should already know all about work and she is not to be bothered with his personal request. Instead of giving her a hard time he jots down his phone number on the receipt while taking the first bite of the pancake. Thinking how hard she had work just to make them encouraged him to finish everything even when he wasn’t used to have breakfast early in the morning except coffee.
There are a lot of things he wanted to ask, in so little time. He takes a quick read of the time on his phone before he leaves his seat, approaching her once more to slip the receipt while the old man is occupied with something else than keeping hawk’s eyes on her. The male then gestures to call him, or text him if it’s more convenient after leaving his phone number with her. “Jungah-ssi, I shall take my leave now. See you soon?” Intending to thank her for the meal, but he fears he might be late to tend to a client awaiting for him he could only bid farewell politely for now and dips into a bow.

It was a momentary peace. Because the moment she stepped behind the counter, people flocked in once more. Not as hectic as earlier but it gave Jungah little time to mull over what had just happened, and maybe that was better. For some reason it was a kind of distraction. He had her wondering.

Jungah has been wary of people being nice. A subtle skeptic, she’d admittedly categorize herself in. There were always reasons behind every person’s action, that she fairly knew. It was as though it was a principle ingrained in her mind. Maybe it was, she just doesn’t remember. The world revolved around with people scratching each other’s back. Rarely does she see people being that genuinely, altruistically nice. Jungah herself isn’t an exemption. She is nice, yes but to an extent. Serving people with a smile on her face was a necessity, being overly nice is. In exchange of loyal patrons and the security of paychecks.

But what was it for him?

That was one thing about Jungah. She never believes in absolute goodness. And with the goodness of people she’d always delve on thoughts, on possibilities of what they really are. Because human beings are interesting enough to unravel. And it is just the same with Ahn Minhyuk. Her eyes hovered back to him in a split second, his one hand busied on his phone while the other took a piece of waffle to eat. Stop being distracted. She reprimanded herself as she returned her attention back to the coffee machine, the drizzling of the black liquid successfully raising her from the depths of her contemplation.

It was a good ten minutes, with few quick glances, before the man stood from his seat. Jungah expected the curt farewell, but the piece of paper scribbled with numbers was something she did not foresee. Her eyes flew from him, to the paper where her lithe fingers instantly finds their way to pick and slip inside her pockets. She was uncertain of what to say, but nevertheless his gesture prompted a smile onto her face, soft, gentle, kind. “Thank you for dining with us. See you soon.”

She was just too sure that this seeing each other soon’ will not happen on the same café. The numbers told her clearly.

As though his confirmation pacifies the whole situation, Jungah still found herself awkwardly lowering her eyes. For some reason she could not meet his. She could not lift her face. Well, who would? There’s too much mistake in one person. She’s actually afraid she might say or do something that could worsen the situation (even if there isn’t.)
Why are you so bothered, Kim Jungah?
She shouldn’t be. Of course. Truly it must have been a lucky day today for she is graced with much kindness. Too much kindness if she may say. There’s a softness in his voice that made her comfortable, made her ease her worries even in the slightest. And it was enough to raise her head finally, meeting him eye to eye. And it seems like they had the same eyes when they smile. Kind of. “Kim Jungah.” She humbly verbalized her own name. “Ah, him. I know. That’s why I am really thankful. If he knew there was a mistake with the orders, he had probably…”
Her words were halted as a phone call garnered his attention. “Oh, no need to say sorry. Go on. It must be an important call.” Jungah lifts her hand, motioning him to take his phone as she speaks rather politely. Looking at the way he dressed, in a formal suit that perfectly fits his tall, well-built figure, Jungah deems he is one with a high position. Perhaps one in a corporate world? Maybe. Her head cranes to one side, curious eyes glance at him for a moment before he looks on her way.Shoot. Another round of embarrassment for you, Jungah.
He was still on the phone, but she did not want to further bother the man. With hands folded just right above her abdomen, she meekly lowered her head, excusing herself. “Enjoy your breakfast, Minhyuk-ssi. If you need anything, just approach me from the counter.” Jungah softly mouthed before she returns to her post.

When her once upon a time client became her close friends it became hard to tell if they were on official duty or if they were out as friends. Though not many people who worked with Hyemin became her friends, Minhyuk was a rare case and if she was being honest it would be awkward for both parties if she bluntly asked the question.
Resting her elbows on the edge of the table Hyemin curled her fingers, placing her chin on her knuckles as she watched the other, “Why don’t you order for the both of us?” The female pulled her menu off the table and handed it to the waiter as he came around to their table. “As far as I am concerned about you being sly, I believe that part of you is on all the time. Sometimes just more intensely than others.” She smirked and leaned back into her chair chuckling.

“Smoked bottarga for two then.” Donning a courteous grin offered to the male server, they are consumed by the brief moment of silence amid waiting for the menu to be collected just until they are left alone again, which made him focus more on the faint jazz music in the background.

Refuses to comment any further his dark orbs flit to the scenery and basking into the tranquility. Sometimes he often getting random thoughts by simply sitting down and doing nothing, or if and when it’s quiet. “Would you like to dance?” That was random, and it kind of slipped. Besides, slow dancing isn’t odd especially in quite opulent of a place to have a candlelight dinner and he’s grateful that the restaurant itself has a private room for their guests.

“My pants.” Chelsea narrowed her eyes at the other male as she tried to stay calm. Without breaking eye-contact, she pointed towards the hoverboard that had been by the edge of the kitchen counter.
The female knew Minhyuk’s schedule really well and lately he had been too busy with work and knowing his, ‘one-meal per day’ rule, Chelsea only wanted to cook a wholesome dinner. Everything had been going according to plan, she got into the apartment, and finished making the dinner. But from god known where the hoverboard came and stood in her way and there was a beautiful accident where one of the side dishes landed onto Chelsea’s pants.
“My pants are in your dryer right now and if only you hadn’t been here ten minutes before you normally get home, I would be wearing them right now.” The female sighed and pursed her lips, “oh and your house is haunted.”

The first thing he noticed after coming home is that someone is already inside and there’s a noise coming from the kitchen, hence, brings him there to monitor the space to find Chelsea there. To his surprise, she seems to have made quite a mess that the aroma coming from the homemade dishes lingering in the air. A mess that he’d thank her for especially when he hadn’t eaten all day.

Relieved that it was only her, then comes his first question.

Only when she pointed out towards his ‘vehicle’ to get around indoor, either workplace, or his home, did he take a quick glance to it. Otherwise, Minhyuk is still quite confused as to how it’s related with her pants that ended up in his dryer, so she said. “Nevertheless, it’s good that you feel like home already to be walking around comfortable without one on.”

"Haunted?” He scoffs, having to not believe in such things as supernatural creatures although knowing one might just exist somewhere, but certainly not his home. “Why? You bumped into a ghost somewhere?”

Using his title in the company to avenge himself after being scolded by his own employee, he flinches back everytime there’s a slight raise of her tone out of fear, either his toe is going to be stepped on or any other abuse she’d use on him. Well.. at least tell someone before you disappear, stop making me worry if you can’t handle me being nosy.”

Knowing all about being annoying all too well he bares his teeth in a bright triumphant grin, as if it’s a victory after avenging himself. Though, he had to thank her for triggering an idea regarding the tracking device causing him to smile to himself.

bong soon just sighed slightly, a frown tugging on her lips as she looked up at the taller male, brows furrowed. she knew when the male was kidding around; however, she also knew when he wasn’t. minhyuk throws her off on a loop sometimes when he gets into his serious moods, and this was one of those times. she looked up at him, eyes staring up at back at his as he basically hovered over her smaller form. “…is there something wrong? you’re usually not like this…” she asked, her voice quiet and worry hidden within her tone. ( @ahn-minhyuk )

There’s always a pang of jealousy whenever she is spotted talking to any unfamiliar males but probably because his own feelings and thoughts are yet to be organized, Minhyuk dares not to admit anything as of yet. Just when she pointed out how tense he looks he tries to find another reason to nag, and his stern gaze immediately replaced with that of playful one. “If there is, you keep leaving your desk it worries me when you didn’t tell anyone where you’re off to.”

Maybe it was how the order was punched, maybe it’s the overall confusion, or maybe it’s just the headache consuming her thoughts that a mistake such as this happens. Jungah isn’t one who bows, (for some reason she she found it oddly displeasing, degrading even) but months working at the café, (include the forced apologies she had to give to perverted customers) had made such gesture a normal occurrence to her. But today it was an honest mistake, and he deserves a sincere apology. With a slight hesitancy, she lowered her face down an act that would somehow pacify the owner.  “I’m really sorry for the inconvenience. Certainly I will. Can you just please give me a few minutes?”
Jungah accepts the card rather mindlessly, punching in details for the payment. The customer went his way towards his preferred seat, leaving his card on the counter. Now that there’s fewer customers, there wasn’t much pressure but she made sure her hands were quick, going from the screen to the coffee machine at the back. Once ready, she places the cup gently on the tray, and then goes back to the counter where she finally takes notice of his card. Ahn Minkyuk. It’s Minhyuk, not Jinhyuk! Her face scrunches up with plain embarrassment, fist gently punching her head. A bigger mistake. What’s happening to you Jungah?
“Minhyuk-ssi?” Hands on the tray, Jungah approaches the previous customer, shame evident in the way her eyes were lowered. She gently places the cup of coffee near him, then sliding his card on the table which is then followed by a small plate of waffles. It was the only way she could think of to repay his kindness. “Thank you. I really don’t know what to say but thank you.” Jungah is aware that her boss is now out of sight. “You kinda… saved me there. I hope these waffles are enough, but if not, please tell me how I can repay your kindness. I owe you a lot.”  It was one thing for an order to be mistaken, and another for a name to be mistaken as well. Not all customers are receptive as him that is why she is truly grateful for his small deed. Small thing for him but surely a big one for Jungah.

The incident replays in his head, he can’t quite get over how entertaining the beginning of the day is so far which only leads him to grinning to himself. The grin that spreads unconsciously falters when he realized he had been acting like a mad person until he is pulled himself back on the ground from the familiar voice rings in his ear, calling out his name that made him clearing his throat as he composes himself to straighten his back. “That’s me.”

Intending to meeting her eyes that are currently shun away from his tells him that she must have been embarrassed for what happened. Minhyuk couldn’t help but to smile, a trait for being someone gullible, perhaps that’s what made him appear warm and easy-going with anyone he just met. He shakes his head, as if the sun rises the moment he grins his eyes drown into crescents of his genuine meaning coming from the next words he enunciate in case her guilt still etches by the way she thanked him.

“Mistakes can happen and it’s nothing severe, it even earned me free breakfast today so if anything; I should be the one thanking you, miss...?” There’s a pause as his head slightly tilted to one side upon asking for her name, if she would be so kind to tell him, that is. “You certainly owe me nothing. That old man earlier was glaring at us he almost killed me with his stare, I thought that maybe I shouldn’t cause any trouble to be on the safe side—”

Somehow he couldn’t seem to continue when his phone rings in his hand, reading his secretary’s contact that lights up the screen from it’s idle mode. “I’m sorry, I have to get this.” The male plead as polite as he could to not offend her from the sudden interruption.

The terror radiating from his eyes for mere seconds was caught by her — Ara stang him and it brought her satisfaction, though tearing him up innerly would be a rather preferrted pageant for her soul doomed in AGONY. She would not cut him open — her presence was enough to poison him like the DEADLIEST SNAKE ; a slithering cobra in his sleeve. ‘’I would, the pleasure is mine.’’ Pink lips spread gently as if the morning sun was rising, pushing the drowly laziness away.

For someone who is enforced in hiding his identity finds it unbearable as each day passes. Assuming the lady he chosen to cherish understand the brooding voices in his mind of his worries, he took her words as a jest hence forgotten as the male stays closely next to her. “If I were to be someone bestowed a throne, will you still agree to meet me like this?” He begins calmly, hands clasped behind his back, leisurely saunter together along the road they taken decorated with lanterns to light up the way towards a lake.

Chelsea stole a glance at the other male from the top of the menu. With the look on his face, it was obvious that he was either being serious or pulling a really good prank. The female was quick to fold the menu and set it on the table again as she leaned forward, “what?” In the past Chelsea helped the other out by pretending to be in a relationship with him to please his family. Though the question proposed now felt quite strange to the female, was he asking for help or being.. well, Ahn Minhyuk. “Do you need me to be your girlfriend again or are you trying to be sly? Either way, the answer is ‘why not?’.”

Taking her out on a dinner must have shown his exact intention on trying to be nice, the chance itself allows him in repaying what she had done for him once only if she’s on the same page as he is. Hyemin and Minhyuk rarely go out together. When they do, it was never a personal outing like this one, a fine dining in  a renown tower that requires proper dress codes and a magnificent night view of the city from the large glass window.

He chooses to go through the menu amid of their conversation still as a way of avoiding her question at first. “They have a complete meal course for couples. What do you feel like having? Crab fettucine? Lobster toast? Smoked bottarga?” The menu is then set down before his gaze is locking with hers. “Would it sound predictable if we have a proper dinner, checking in and maybe then I can be sly?”
