Hello dear!!! A Simon blurb idea for you: how do you think he'd react/help reader dealing with sleep deprivation and feeling emotional and drained????

Hello! Thank you for your patience on this - I know it's been a while since you sent this in! I hope you enjoy!

Simon isn't surprised when he finds you quietly in tears at the kitchen table late one night. It's something he knows has been building for days - the long nights, the early mornings, the "I'll come to bed later"s have caught up with you. You're tired, and your mental state is frayed enough to be splitting at the seams.

After holding you for a bit to let your emotions run their course, he shifts from silent support to active movement.

"C'mon love," Simon murmurs to you as he tries to maneuver you to stand. "Let's get you to bed."

You fight him, because of course you do. "Too much to do", you tell him.

"We'll take care of it in the mornin'," he says. "Promise. Gotta get some sleep first."

You fight him still, but he's persistent. He all but toes the line of his Lieutenant Voice to get you to comply, and in the end he's thankful that he didn't have to be too firm with you in your emotional state.

"I know you're busy," he says as he guides you to bed with a hand on your lower back, "but you won't get anywhere runnin' on empty like this."

He knows he's right. He knows that you know he's right. But he gets it. He's been in the same position plenty of times: awake for days on end, running on fumes and still needing to give, give, give.

So now, in the dark of night, he all but instructs you to take instead.

"We're gonna get some sleep. Then, in the mornin', I'll make you breakfast. We can take care of everythin' else after that."

Simon leaves no room for argument, and you don't give any.

Instead, he tucks you close to him under the covers, thumbing away your stray tears as he sooths you. Sleep doesn't come easily, but after plenty of gentle words and slow motions, he notices your breathing even.

The blurb about Simon with his long lost sister was so sweet and so, so good!! Do you have any other thoughts or headcanons about them? Like, what's their dynamic like after being reunited? I can't imagine how protective Simon would be. He's already a guard dog for his loved ones, but for his sister who he thought was dead and is also the only living relative he has left??? Guard dog instincts turned up to 11 lol.

Avatar

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It's definitely a different type of relationship than I'm used to writing for him, so I'm having fun exploring that bit of his character.

As for what your dynamic is, I can imagine (at least initially), it reverts back to how you were as children. With a younger sister, Simon was the protector. He tried to protect Tommy, but Tommy always marched to the beat of his own drum and Simon couldn't really get through to him until he hit rock bottom much later on (i.e. in the comics, it shows that Tommy was largely fond of his father, and wanted to do all the stuff his dad forced Simon to do. Meanwhile, dear old dad was too busy terrorizing Simon and his mum).

Actually, in the canon universe, Simon was pretty submissive as a child - he wouldn't particularly fight back against his father. That part of him didn't really come to the surface until he was an adult. In this universe, I'd imagine things are a little bit different. I'd imagine that Simon, while still terrified of his father, wouldn't hesitate to stand between him and you. He'd take the yelling, the beatings, the punishments. As long as you were spared.

Now? Now that you're reunited after years of both of you assuming the other was dead? You're right, those guard dog instincts get cranked up to critical levels. You have to tell him to hit the brakes a few times, actually, because in his mind you're still his baby sister. Emphasis on the "baby". At first, he probably wants you to install tracking apps on your phone, wants to set up a check-in schedule (multiple times a day), wants you to move in with him or let him install security cameras at your place.

You'll have to gently break it to your older brother that. Yknow. You're an adult. You've got a job and bills and a life, just like he does. You're not the infant he used to bottle-feed when mum was working two jobs and dad was... idk in a ditch somewhere.

It takes some adjustment, to put things mildly. But over time, he comes to fall into a more relaxed state. Naturally, you keep in close contact, if only for Simon's peace of mind. You visit often. He's fiercely protective of you still - it's ingrained in his being to some degree. But he recognizes that you're your own person now.

(He'll never tell you, but he still has ways of keeping an eye on you, even when he's deployed. He won't violate your privacy, but he's definitely aware of that new significant other you've got, months before you mention anything to him).

hi hi hi!! i just found your blog and have been binging your simon blurbs they’re so good TT ~ i was wondering if you’d ever considered writing platonic!simon ?? like maybe where reader is his younger sister or something (non canon obv but maybe she survived and he didn’t know until later in life??) i feel like it could be super angsty + a little fluff

I'm down to write any sort of Simon tbh! This is a very interesting prompt, and I think it can really give a glimpse into his character, so thank you for sending it in!

I think, at first, he's in denial. Heavily. Everyone else was dead, he had no reason to think you weren't, too. He'd operated under this assumption for years, even when he'd watched from afar as a group buried an empty casket next to the others. He hadn't found you in the massacre, and he hadn't found you at Roba's compound later. Surely those were the only two places you'd be, right? And no one - not the former squadmates who betrayed him, not Roba, not the brass - ever said a word about you being taken somewhere. You were dead, just like the rest. That's the only explanation that made sense. Even in his personnel file, among the list of other names of his former next-of-kin with a "deceased" stamp next to them, your name had a "missing, presumed dead" designation.

But still, part of him never stopped looking. Part of him still kept an eye out whenever he went anywhere, looking for you.

It was a futile endeavor, until one day... it wasn't.

"...Simon?"

He turns so quickly he develops a crick in his neck later, wild eyes immediately finding yours. He'd been out with the 141 in some dive bar somewhere, buried in between city streets and burnt out neon lights. The rest of the squad quiets, silently watching whatever this is unfold.

No. No no no no no. You were dead. You'd been dead for years. It's why he hadn't spent every waking moment looking for you. The person standing in front of him can't be you.

Except it is.

He stares, wide-eyed and barely breathing. You look different. Of course you do. But he never forgot those eyes of yours.

"Is it really you?"

He could ask the same thing. In fact, he does. He softly says your name, followed by a quiet "thought you were dead".

"Thought you were, too."

Right. Sometimes Simon forgets that technically, he's legally dead.

The dam breaks quickly, and Simon isn't sure who moves first between the two of you. You shed some tears, he holds you tighter than he's ever held onto anything in his life. He apologizes for not looking for you, for not doing more to reunite the two of you sooner, but you shut him down. You'd gone into hiding as best as you could after everyone died, never knowing that the men who did it were swiftly dealt with by your older brother. He had nothing to apologize for. And still, he keeps doing so.

Simon fills in the 141 on who you are - his baby sister, the last remaining member of his entire family. Price immediately mentions giving him some leave time in order to "catch up", which Simon takes. Gaz cracks a joke about how you can't be related to Simon - you're way too pretty (Simon is quick to remind the Sargent that he's never even seen his face). Soap, meanwhile, is grilling you about what his LT was like as a scrappy kid, no doubt to find ammo to use later to heckle him about.

Ok here me out

How would a Yautja react to there S/O yelling at a different Yautja in there s/os native language?

  • Okay so I think (based on what little I know of the Predator universe), Yautja only really pick up on whichever human languages they're exposed to.
  • That being said, a random Yautja on their home planet probably doesn't understand any human dialect, let alone multiple, unless they've been to Earth and hunted in multiple locales.
  • So when you go off and start berating said giant alien in your native tongue, your mate just has a private chuckle to themselves.
  • The poor subject of your anger is... confused.
  • Like, imagine someone coming up to you and starting to angrily yell at you in a language you don't understand.
  • "I do not understand what you're saying but I DEFINITELY understand that you're mad."
  • It's like that.
  • They'd probably consider you a threat and get defensive if they weren't seven feet tall and a few hundred pounds heavier than you.
  • Nevertheless, they just sort of... sit there and wait for you to be done with... whatever this is.
  • Your mate makes no effort to intervene, clearly enjoying the show.
  • Once you've said your piece and stalk away, your mate goes up to the confused yautja and translates for them.
  • They go to you once all that's done and help you calm down, letting you rant and rave to your heart's content.
  • If it's something they can fix, they'll do their best to. If not, they just sort of... wait you out lol.

Your fem! Ghost series has been living rent free in my head for days on end, like ahhhh, I love her! I was hoping to request the reader gifting her a handmade plushie. I love making plushies in my free time for fun and not even to sale since I just do it out of pure joy, but I usually just gift them to my nieces and nephews since I'm not usually great at expressing my feelings

As someone who's prized possession is a stuffed manatee from my Care Package Anon about a year back, I relate to this so much

Anyway, I am completely enamored with the idea that she sees you making all these plushies and, while there's a big part of her that desperately wants to ask for one, she won't at first. She's an adult, yknow? A grown woman who's special forces military, etc. etc. She's too old, too mature for plushies.

Except, you spot her staring sometimes. When she's lost in thought of how much she would've given as a little girl for a handmade plushie like the ones you make. It doesn't even matter what kind - be it some animal, a teddy bear, or some nondescript little creature you made with scraps of fabric patched together.

So one day, when she's gone on deployment, you make her one. It's a cat, made with a patchwork pattern. The kind that has different colored legs/head/torso. You're good at what you do, but you want it to be a little wonky because you know that's what SHE would want. (I'm tellin ya, her mum used to read Corduroy by Don Freeman to her as a child and she never forgot it).

When she gets home and settled, you give her the little kitty plush. She'll never admit it, but she definitely gets a little misty-eyed about it. The idea that you took time, effort, and care to make something like this for her really hits her square in the chest.

It quickly becomes one of her favorite treasures, and sometimes - when the house is quiet and her nightmares are loud - you can spot her holding it, absentmindedly rubbing at one of its ears for comfort.

You're out walking yours and Simon's dog, Riley, one afternoon when some guy you've never met all but saunters up to you.

He tries to chat you up, laying the flirtation on so thick it congeals into sleaze. You shut him down bluntly at every turn, but unfortunately, he's... determined.

Riley growls as he takes a step closer, the retired military dog pushing himself in front of you with hackles raised and teeth bared.

And still, the stranger doesn't get the hint. He merely huffs out an amused laugh as he looks from Riley to you.

"Didn't realize you had a guard dog -"

Suddenly, his gaze wanders past you. The cocky grin on his face drains away in an instant as he pales.

Like he's seen a Ghost.

"She's got two, mate."

Hello, how r u? I would like to make a request Yautja x reader (f)

I saw a drawing on Pinterest of an Albino Yautja and I got an idea and I can't get it out of my head.

It may be about an albino Yautja who, because of his condition, is despised and no female accepts him as his mate. This caused him to develop insecurities and barriers around him. Afterwards, the Elders took pity on him and through agreements with planet Earth sent him a human wife as a gift.

the rest is up to you. I trust you and if you like it I would love it if I could do it 🫶🏻🥺

So, this took me some time on, because I wanted to adjust it a little (as-is, it kind of made me think of like. a mail-order bride scenario? so I wanted to shift it a little away from that. hope that's okay).
  • So I'd like to imagine there's some type of agreement in place between Yautja Prime and Earth where humans and yautja can volunteer for matchmaking-type services.
  • Both parties are free to accept or decline each offer as they see fit, with no consequences on either side.
  • He figures he has no chance at finding a yautja mate, so he tries his luck with an Earth one.
  • When you first see him, completely snow-white in color, you're captivated. Most yautja are darker in color and have natural patterns that help them blend in with organic surroundings. This one? He'd probably only be suited for a hunt in the arctic.
  • You both talk. Get to know each other. He confides that no yautja female would have him due to his albinism, and genuinely seems a bit confused when you tell him you think he's beautiful.
  • There's a bit of two-fold camaraderie/commiserating if you're also somewhat of an outsider on Earth as well for any reason.
  • Granted, he's still somewhat closed-off. His past experiences have warranted some emotional barriers. Being an outcast in a warrior society can do that.
  • He tells you one night of being alone on hunts when he should have had help. How he'd barely managed to scrape by with his life, and even when he'd brought back trophy after trophy, he still wasn't seen as good enough.
  • He probably falls for you as soon as you start marveling at all the trophies he's collected. Or any time you thank him for bringing you one.
  • He's... a little awkward when it comes to courting. He's never had any experience with it, just heard stories of what you're "supposed to do".
  • Brings you lots of dead things at first. He's like a cat. Look, human mate! I can provide!!! Love me!!
  • So just... go easy on him and tell him what you need from him. He'll adjust.
  • Over time, as you two get closer, your bond is unshakable. Everyone on both sides knows that neither of you are going anywhere, having finally found each other.
  • Also, I can see both of you being fiercely protective of the other. Whenever anyone tries to shun either of you, the other immediately comes to their aid. Sometimes with violence.

Hi! First of all I would like to thank you for your writing! I've only recently stumbled upon your headcanons, but I've already fallen in love with your writing style and neighbor Simon! Can I request Simon with a male or gn reader who works as a rescue or firefighter and has the energy of a golden retriever? Kind of really always eager to help people, even risking his life to do so. It could be a regular Ghost or an au neighbor. I think that would be an interesting dynamic, especially if Simon is already retired and his s/o is doing dangerous work, though not military.

Please take care of yourselves and good luck with your writing! 💜

Avatar
ohhhh not me realizing you've been waiting on me for this request for... *checks notes*... two months 🫣 I am so sorry. Thank you for your patience :')

So, for this one, I'm gonna go with neighbor Simon! And honestly? You're gonna make him go gray even earlier than he was already on his way to.

He probably picks up one of those emergency scanners. The kind that people usually use to listen to police activity, but he exclusively uses it to listen for fire/rescue. Any time your vehicle isn't at your house, he's probably got the thing on and set to the proper frequency. And when you ARE out on a call, he's glued to it to make sure there aren't any calls for backup/medical at wherever the situation happens to be.

Honestly, you probably remind him a lot of Soap. Eager to help, most of the time at detriment to your own safety. Though at least with Soap, Simon could keep an eye on him while he was off setting charges or infiltrating somewhere. Here? At home? He feels helpless. He can't very well follow you to every housefire or EMS call you go out on (as much as he wants to), so he has to settle for sitting by his little radio.

A nagging feeling tells him this is how military spouses feel. Sitting by, waiting for news that their loved one is safe and coming home. He keeps that radio on his left side always, to ensure it's not affected by his unilateral hearing loss. He wants to make sure he doesn't miss anything.

And yeah, maybe sometimes if you squint, you can see his truck parked a couple blocks away from whatever housefire you're attending. He'll never admit to that though. He just wants you to be safe, that's all. And if that means making sure things don't go too sideways (and being prepared to rush in after you if they do), then it's something he'll gladly cause trouble for.

He appreciates your sunshine-y nature when you're around him. Though it took some adjusting to, he enjoys the optimism and eagerness. It's a fresh change from all the doom and gloom that usually comes with hanging around military folks for too long. Simon probably teases you a lot about the whole "firefighter" gig anyway, asking you how many ladies come up to the handsome fireman while he's in uniform. (And yeah, okay, if you happen to do one of those "fireman calendar" things like stations sometimes do here in the States, he wants a copy. Don't you dare say anything about it though).

Oh gosh, angsty idea I just need to ask... how do you Simon reacts to civilian!reader being captured?? And how do you think Simon reacts when reuniting with reader after rescuing them (b/c my brain won't accept any other ending than Simon and reader reuniting.) BTW, my brain didn't really have a particular version of Simon in mind while writing this... so you can picture fem!Simon, neighbor!Simon, etc. while responding :))))

It's been a minute since we've checked in on Neighbor!Simon, so let's do that, hm?

His first call is to Price when he finds your front door ajar and your house in disarray. He knows calling the cops would be next to useless, especially since it doesn't take a genius to piece together the kidnappers' motive - to get under Simon's skin, and lead him to them.

It takes all his resources to find you, including Price and Laswell pulling strings on his behalf. The 141 take on your rescue mission personally, though they're very much alone here. There is no backup, the military wasn't going to expend such resources rescuing a single average civilian.

Also 25. and 30. for the writers asks 💌

Fem!Simon's SFW alphabet was so fun to write, I'm glad you enjoyed it! (And yes, she will accept that request thank you)

25. besides writing, what are your other hobbies?

  • Ohhh let's see... pretty much anything creative! I like being able to make things with my hands. Right now I'm pretty invested in those diamond painting kit thingies. I just got done making a whole set of keychains! I'm also rather fond of things like paint-by-numbers and legos.

30. share a fic you’re especially proud of

  • I'll give you a two-fer here: one from back in my P Pascal fandom days, and a more recent one:
Forgotten Creatures. My Minotaur!Whiskey fic. My baby. The series closest to my heart. I will always have a soft spot for this fic, and by extension, Minotaurs in general. Hurt. My favorite Simon fic I've written so far. (Though "Something New" is a close second). I just really enjoy being able to take a look deeper into characters, and this let me do that quite well.

Fem!Simon Riley SFW Alphabet

By request: the SFW version of the alphabet meme for Fem!Simon! I really hope you guys enjoy, I had a lot of fun writing this!

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

  • In public, she's not very affectionate. She'll hold your hand, maybe put an arm around your waist, buy she won't do much more than that. It's not that she's ashamed of you or anything, she's just not particularly into PDA.
  • In private though, she's much more affectionate. She likes to cuddle, likes to lay her head on your chest while you run a hand through her hair. She's also very prone to random hugs; if you're standing somewhere in the house doing something when she passes by, she's probably going to hug you.

Hello hello! I hope you're doing well!

I was wondering how you think a Yautja would react to being gifted a piece of art? I know damn well that I'm too slow-brained and clumsy to hunt anything, so skull trophies are out of the question, but what about spending time making something instead (Be it a drawing, a sculpture, writing, etc)?

Avatar

Hi i have returned with more yautja after a billion years thank u

  • I think... they may be confused at first.
  • Of course, yautja have artists among their ranks - just as every culture does.
  • But human art sort of throws them at first. After all, most yautja art still incorporates a hunt of some sort. Think "lots of bone sculptures" sort of stuff.
  • So when you present them with a drawing, sculpture, or writing, they don't initially really realize it for what it is.
  • They think it's more of a "look what I did" as opposed to a "look what I took time and effort to make especially for you".
  • But when you explain it to them; that you're not a great hunter, so you wanted to show your appreciation in another way, they sort of start to get it.
  • It's like when a yautja gets a particular piece of jewelry for a mate - something flashy to show they belong to one another.
  • If it's a sculpture, they put it in their trophy room among the rest of their treasures.
  • A drawing? They hang it in their quarters or wherever they tend to spend the most time.
  • Writing? They memorize it and either recite it to themselves when they're missing you or, if it's a story, they'll tell it to other yautja.
  • They start to ask for more. Partly as a way to give you something to do while they're off on a hunt, partly because they like having traces of you in their space.
  • Also, idk if it would be considered in bad taste (probably depends on the yautja), but I think it'd be neat to paint some of their skull trophies. Especially if you paint typical yautja tribal designs on them.
  • And, bless them, they try to reciprocate. They try to draw for you, to weave stories, to sculpt something.
  • Let's just say, they're better suited for hunting.
  • They try their best though. And really, that's all that matters.
  • Also, they're fiercely protective of the gifts you make them. The other yautja learn pretty quick not to make fun of them or dismiss them.

Ok that double sided dildo ask with fem!Simon really got me. And I can’t stop thinking about reader on top while using one 👀 I can only imagine the praise.

hkajsdfh i had to go back and reread it cause it's been so long since i got this ask oops

but y e s it'd be an experience for sure. We all know that fem Simon is already on the praise train, so naturally she's gonna keep her mouth working while you're on top. Plenty of "atta girl"s, "there you go"s, and the like. She wants you to know that you're doing a good job.

(Seriously though. The praise is non-stop while you're on top.)

"There you go, that's my girl, yeah? Doin' so fuckin' well, takin' what you want. Proper angel, you are."

Not to mention her hand is hard at work too. There's a reason cowgirl is one of her favorite positions with a double sided dildo - gives her easy access to stimulate your clit while you take the reins.

Really, she just loves seeing you take what you want from her. It makes her feel like she's doing something right by pleasuring you, like she has a purpose. It's kind of the same reason she likes doing other household things for you.
